Today's Good News

JUNE 1 – HATE

6/01 Mark 3:5-6
He looked around at them angrily, because he was deeply disturbed by their hard hearts. Then he said to the man, “Reach out your hand.” The man reached out his hand, and it became normal again! 6 At once the Pharisees went away and met with the supporters of Herod to discuss plans for killing Jesus.
HATE
Hate darkens our mind and causes us to do foolish things. The Pharisees loved their power and hated Jesus for questioning them. They thought they had “God in a Box” and were the only arbiters of what God does and doesn’t do. Jesus is Lord indeed He is God and was standing before them, the Creator of all things being condemned by these foolish men. Don’t get yourself in a conflict with the Lord instead ask Him what you are to do and do it.

MAY 31 – WISDOM

5/31 Mark 3:3-4
Jesus said to the man, “Come and stand in front of everyone.” 4 Then he turned to his critics and asked, “Is it legal to do good deeds on the Sabbath, or is it a day for doing harm? Is this a day to save life or to destroy it?” But they wouldn’t answer him.
WISDOM
Jesus sought to share Godly wisdom with the people there and they missed it. What are you doing today? Are you missing wisdom from the Lord because you aren’t listening? Bend the knee to Jesus and let Him teach you day by day. Jesus is Lord and is seeking to help you.

MAY 30 – JESUS

5/30 Mark 3:1-2
Jesus went into the synagogue again and noticed a man with a deformed hand. 2 Since it was the Sabbath, Jesus’ enemies watched him closely. Would he heal the man’s hand on the Sabbath? If he did, they planned to condemn him.
JESUS
Jesus knows what is going on and what needs to be done. He had a purpose for healing the man’s hand and the Sabbath didn’t affect that purpose. Jesus loves us. What we do will not change His attitude towards us. Let us seek to know Him while we have time.

MAY 29 – LISTEN

5/29 Matthew 7:28-29
After Jesus finished speaking, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, 29 for he taught as one who had real authority — quite unlike the teachers of religious law.
LISTEN
When you listen to Jesus you are listening to God. Christ is the Creator and through Him all things were created so He knows everything about everything. His teaching is from the Father. His wisdom is limitless. Jesus is Lord and we can have confidence in Him.

MAY 28 – FOOLISH

5/28 Matthew 7:26-27
But anyone who hears my teaching and ignores it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. 27 When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will fall with a mighty crash.”
FOOLISH
Don’t be foolish. Open your heart to Jesus. Listen to what He says and obey Him. If we listen to Jesus and ignore what He says we are simply being foolish. Please spend time with Him now before life gets tough and you will be able to stand in the hour of testing.

MAY 27 – SAFETY

5/27 Matthew 7:25
Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse, because it is built on rock.
SAFETY
Jesus is our safety. In Him we do not ever have to worry about life nor do we need to fear death. Jesus conquered death and He forgave our sins so that we might have life. Rejoice in every moment of every day for Jesus is always Lord and we can be God’s children.

MAY 26 – WISE

5/26 Matthew 7:24
“Anyone who listens to my teaching and obeys me is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock.
WISE
I am seeking to be wise every single day of my life. Therefore, I begin each day with Jesus, go thru the day with Him and at the end of day lay my soul before Him for His protection. Jesus is the solid rock we can build our life on.

MAY 25 – ONE-WAY

5/25 Matthew 7:22-23
On judgment day many will tell me, ‘Lord, Lord, we prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ 23 But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Go away; the things you did were unauthorized. ‘
ONE-WAY
The Lord proscribes how we come to Him-In Jesus Name. There is no other name than Jesus whereby we might be saved. The Lord is good and He is specific. We come to Him in the way He says or we miss Him totally. Ask Jesus to forgive your sin and trust Him with all your heart.

MAY 24 – JESUS

5/24 Matthew 7:21
“Not all people who sound religious are really godly. They may refer to me as ‘Lord,’ but they still won’t enter the Kingdom of Heaven. The decisive issue is whether they obey my Father in heaven.
JESUS
Faith in Christ is required for a changed life. If I believe in Jesus I will become more like Him as I live my life day by day. I will evidence a need to spend time with Christ. His will my will, His ways my ways. Believe in Jesus. He is the only way to eternal life.

MAY 23 – FRUIT

5/23 Matthew 7:20
Yes, the way to identify a tree or a person is by the kind of fruit that is produced.
FRUIT
The things that we do are the fruit of our life. People that treat others, as they want to be treated, go the extra mile, are forgiving, these are things that evidence a Christ controlled life. Seek to exemplify Jesus in all you do and you will find the right way of life.
