APRIL 24 – GIVE

April 24                      Isaiah 1:26

26 Then I will give you good judges again and wise counselors like you used to have. Then Jerusalem will again be called the Home of Justice and the Faithful City.”

GIVE
We follow Jesus and He will give us those things we need.  Our challenge is that we not decide what we need and then do it ourselves.  Wait on the Lord and He will guide you in the right way.

APRIL 23 – KNOW

April 23                      Deuteronomy 29:9

9 “Therefore, obey the terms of this covenant so that you will prosper in everything you do.

KNOW

We must first know the terms of the covenant that the Lord has made with us.  Then we are to live by that covenant.  What does the Lord require?  That we love Him completely, obey Him and love one another.  We do what He says.  Jesus is Lord.

APRIL 22 – FEAR

April 22                      Deuteronomy 10:12-13

12“And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you? He requires only that you fear the LORD your God, and live in a way that pleases him, and love him and serve him with all your heart and soul. 13 And you must always obey the LORD ’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good.

FEAR

Fear the Lord.  Know that He has standards that He requires of us.  Not standards that we demand of others but standards that we demand of ourselves.  Do what He says.  Love Him.  Serve Him with all your heart.  Our obedience pleases Him.

APRIL 21 – CAREFUL

April 21                      Deuteronomy 5:32-33

32 So Moses told the people, “You must be careful to obey all the commands of the LORD your God, following his instructions in every detail. 33 Stay on the path that the LORD your God has commanded you to follow. Then you will live long and prosperous lives in the land you are about to enter and occupy.

CAREFUL

Our call is to live careful lives.  Look at the Word of God and do what the Lord says to do.  We will have to take our actions and lay them alongside the Lord’s commands.  Are we doing things the way God says or have we surrendered to the world?  Follow Jesus.

APRIL 20 – OBEY

April 20                      Exodus 19:5

5 Now if you will obey me and keep my covenant, you will be my own special treasure from among all the peoples on earth; for all the earth belongs to me.

OBEY

Obey the Lord.  Do what He says.  If you do what He says you will discover that you are in an intimate relationship with Christ.  You will constantly be aware of His presence and you will know the way in which you should go.  Obey Jesus and live a Godly life.

APRIL 19 – CALL

April 19                      1 Kings 2:3-4

3Observe the requirements of the LORD your God and follow all his ways. Keep the decrees, commands, regulations, and laws written in the Law of Moses so that you will be successful in all you do and wherever you go.

CALL

Our call is to follow the Lord.  We are to do what He says and not what the world says.  When we are looking at the way we should live we need to be on His schedule and not the world’s schedule.  Jesus is Lord.

APRIL 18 – STAND

April 18                      James 1:2-4

2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

STAND

We are called to stand firm in the ways of the Lord.  Do what He says and leave the results to Christ.  Jesus is intimately involved in our life.  Let Him lead, guide and direct you and you will grow day by day in Christ likeness and that is our aim.

APRIL 17 – IMPORTANT

April 17                      James 1:12

12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.

IMPORTANT

It is important that we know that the Lord is looking at our life.  We want to do those things that count in His eyes and a way that He directs for the Lord is the One evaluating our life.  Jesus is Lord.  We live for Him not the watching world.  Do the next right thing.

APRIL 16 – QUICK

April 16                      Psalm 89:47

47 Remember how fleeting is my life. For what futility you have created all humanity!

QUICK

Life is quick.  Life is perilous.  Jesus holds the key to eternal in His hands.  Ask Jesus to forgive you of your sin and to bring you into His family.  He will if you will believe in Him.  Ask now.  You are not promised tomorrow.

APRIL 15 – MERCY

April 15                      Psalm 78:38-39

38 Yet he was merciful; he forgave their iniquities and did not destroy them. Time after time he restrained his anger and did not stir up his full wrath. 39 He remembered that they were but flesh, a passing breeze that does not return.

MERCY

Mercy Lord, have mercy on me.  I am a sinner saved by grace.  My heart and my interests wander and I am without focus so often.  The cares and worries of this world weigh me down.  Help me Lord focus on you, spend time with you and make your interests my interests.  Thank you Lord for your love and watchcare over me.
