SEPTEMBER 7 – WATCHES

09/07 Psalm 121:5-8
The LORD himself watches over you! The LORD stands beside you as your protective shade. 6 The sun will not hurt you by day, nor the moon at night. 7 The LORD keeps you from all evil and preserves your life. 8 The LORD keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.

Jesus watches over you. He is involved in every intimate detail of your life. Bend your knee to Jesus and follow Him. Jesus watches over your.

SEPTEMBER 6 – OVERWHELMED

09/06 Psalm 121:3-4
He will not let you stumble and fall; the one who watches over you will not sleep. 4 Indeed, he who watches over Israel never tires and never sleeps.
OVERWHELMED
When you are overwhelmed, turn to the Lord. He knows what you are going through and He will fix it. The Lord will not misunderstand nor will He leave you hanging-He will fix it. He is faithful and tireless. Jesus understands what you are facing and He will see you through.

SEPTEMBER 5 – TROUBLE

09/05 Psalm 121:1-2
A song for the ascent to Jerusalem. I look up to the mountains — does my help come from there? 2 My help comes from the LORD, who made the heavens and the earth!
TROUBLE
Are you in trouble? Do you feel desperate in you soul? Turn to the Lord. He will comfort you and help you. He will not turn you away. The Lord Jesus cares for you.

SEPTEMBER 4 – LISTEN

09/04 Psalm 120:5-7
How I suffer among these scoundrels of Meshech! It pains me to live with these people from Kedar! 6 I am tired of living here among people who hate peace. 7 As for me, I am for peace; but when I speak, they are for war!
LISTEN
Listen to people. Listen to what they aren’t saying. Care for others. Let them know you care by the way you act. The road to perdition is paved with good intentions. Be a person of peace.

SEPTEMBER 3 – CAREFUL

09/03 Psalm 120:3-4
O deceptive tongue, what will God do to you? How will he increase your punishment? 4 You will be pierced with sharp arrows and burned with glowing coals.
CAREFUL
We need to be careful with what we say. We do not have to apologize for what we don’t say. Speak words of encouragement and love one another.

SEPTEMBER 2 – SAFE

09/02 Psalm 120:2
Rescue me, O LORD, from liars and from all deceitful people.
SAFE
We are safe in the hands of Jesus. He knows what we are facing and what we will face and will gladly give us the wisdom we need to walk each moment with Him. The Lord is always good. He is good to us.

SEPTEMBER 1 – LISTENS

09/01 Psalm 120:1
A song for the ascent to Jerusalem. I took my troubles to the LORD; I cried out to him, and he answered my prayer.
LISTENS
The Lord listens to us. He is interested and willing to hear us out and take us in. Jesus loves us with a breadth and depth that we cannot comprehend. Jesus is Lord.

AUGUST 31 – TESTIMONY

08/31 John 5:46
But if you had believed Moses, you would have believed me because he wrote about me. 47 And since you don’t believe what he wrote, how will you believe what I say?”
TESTIMONY
THE Lord is speaking to us in His Word, HIS testimony teaching us about Jesus and life. We know Him and learn about ourselves in His Word. His Word is alive and is written to us so that we might not be overwhelmed by evil. Serve the Lord with gladness, serving only Him and not us or some other person. Jesus is Lord of all and He loves us.

AUGUST 30 – FOCUS

08/30 John 5:44-45
No wonder you can’t believe! For you gladly honor each other, but you don’t care about the honor that comes from God alone. 45 “Yet it is not I who will accuse you of this before the Father. Moses will accuse you! Yes, Moses, on whom you set your hopes.
FOCUS
We are to serve the Lord and His will. We are to set aside our own selfish ambition, forget the claims of those seeking to Lord it over us and know the Lord. We are here to accomplish the Father’s purpose not our purpose. Today we need to focus on the Lord Jesus and His goals for our life; forgetting the limelight and serving in the Lord’s spotlight.

AUGUST 29 – JESUS

08/29 John 5:41-43
“Your approval or disapproval means nothing to me, 42 because I know you don’t have God’s love within you. 43 For I have come to you representing my Father, and you refuse to welcome me, even though you readily accept others who represent only themselves.
JESUS
We don’t debate the merits of Jesus nor do we stand in judgment of whether He is what He says He is. We are given opportunity to believe in Jesus or not believe-our choice. But when we believe in Jesus we are brought into the Family of God-God is our Father – and we have access to and a relationship with Jesus.
