MAY 31 – HOPE

May 31                       Romans 12:12

12 Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble and keep on praying.

HOPE

Hope changes everything.  We know in whom we have placed our hope and Jesus never fails.  We believe Christ has brought salvation to us and we will never be at the mercy of the world.  Christ is king and He brings us everything we need to lead an eternal life.

MAY 30 – JOY

May 30                       2 Corinthians 8:1-5

1 Now I want you to know, dear brothers and sisters, what God in his kindness has done through the churches in Macedonia.  2 They are being tested by many troubles, and they are very poor. But they are also filled with abundant joy, which has overflowed in rich generosity.  3 For I can testify that they gave not only what they could afford, but far more. And they did it of their own free will.   4 They begged us again and again for the privilege of sharing in the gift for the believers in Jerusalem.   5They even did more than we had hoped, for their first action was to give themselves to the Lord and to us, just as God wanted them to do.

JOY

Joy is the result of Christ in our life.  When we are in intimate relationship with Jesus we will have peace and joy because He gives that to us.  When you are hurting and life has you down claim Christ and His presence in your life.  He will walk with you through the trial and He will give you His peace and joy.  Joy comes from Jesus.

MAY 29 – PRESENT

May 29                       1 Timothy 1:17

17 All honor and glory to God forever and ever! He is the eternal King, the unseen one who never dies; he alone is God. Amen.

PRESENT

Our Eternal God is present.  He knows us and everything that happens to us.  Nothing is out of His sight.  Tell Him your concerns.  He already knows them and He wants to guide with wisdom and knowledge but we must ask and invite Him into our life.  Our journey is to discipline.  Obedience is the call.  Let Jesus have your attention and He will go with you as you face the daily grind of your life.  Chaos is the norm in life but Jesus gives us peace.  He is Lord.

MAY 28 – YOU

May 28                       1 Timothy 1:15

15 This is a trustworthy saying, and everyone should accept it: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”—and I am the worst of them all.

YOU

The worst sinner that you know is you.  No one knows your heart but does.  Our sin is horrible.  Everyone of us has a thought life that is exceedingly embarrassing.  We hate, we covet, we are selfish and the Lord still loves us.  Oh Lord thank you for saving me a sinner.

MAY 27 – MERCY

May 27                       1 Timothy 1:13

13even though I used to blaspheme the name of Christ. In my insolence, I persecuted his people. But God had mercy on me because I did it in ignorance and unbelief.

MERCY

God has great mercy on us.  We deserve punishment.  He cares for us with a love that far exceeds our sin.  Every day we do things that we don’t realize is sin and so many times we do things we know are sin and don’t care and God has mercy upon us.  Get an attitude of gratitude for our loving Lord has great mercy upon us.

MAY 26 – GRATITUDE

May 26                       1 Timothy 1:12

12 I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength to do his work. He considered me trustworthy and appointed me to serve him,

GRATITUDE

We are to develop an attitude of gratitude.  Everything we have comes from the Lord and He created us and gave us life.  Be about the Master’s business-be trustworthy and faithful to do what the Lord calls you to do.

MAY 25 – LOVE

May 25                       1 Timothy 1:5

5 The purpose of my instruction is that all believers would be filled with love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and genuine faith.

LOVE

We are filled with a lot of things but few of us are filled with love.  We hate.  We hurt.  We fear.  Jesus calls us to be filled with love then do!  Turn you heart and mind towards Jesus and He will fill you with love.

MAY 24 – LOVE

May 24                       1 Timothy 1:4

4 Don’t let them waste their time in endless discussion of myths and spiritual pedigrees. These things only lead to meaningless speculations, which don’t help people live a life of faith in God.

LOVE

Love the Lord.  Love his fellowship with you.  Love those you are with.  In the early church outsiders said they knew them by their love for the brethren.  Love one another.

MAY 23 – WHO?

May 23                       Ezekiel 48:11

11 This area is set aside for the ordained priests, the descendants of Zadok who served me faithfully and did not go astray with the people of Israel and the rest of the Levites.

WHO?

Who did the Lord remember?  Those that were faithful.  He will not forget you.  Be faithful.

MAY 22 – YOU

May 22                       2 Kings 22:4-7

4 “Go to Hilkiah the high priest and have him count the money the gatekeepers have collected from the people at the LORD ’s Temple. 5 Entrust this money to the men assigned to supervise the restoration of the LORD ’s Temple. Then they can use it to pay workers to repair the Temple. 6 They will need to hire carpenters, builders, and masons. Also have them buy the timber and the finished stone needed to repair the Temple. 7 But don’t require the construction supervisors to keep account of the money they receive, for they are honest and trustworthy men.”

YOU

The Lord knows who you are and what you are.  He knows your heart.  Our relationship with Him is a heart relationship-by faith we believe and are saved. Serve the Lord with gladness.  Be His trustworthy servant.
