MAY 14 – FORWARD

May 14                       Luke 9:62

62 But Jesus told him, “Anyone who puts a hand to the plow and then looks back is not fit for the Kingdom of God.”

FORWARD

Jesus calls us to move forward.  Forward in our prayer life.  Forward through thick or thin in constant service to the Lord.  Be about the Master’s business.  Do what Jesus is calling you to do.  When you fail, get up and do what Jesus is calling you to do.

MAY 13 – SERVE

May 13                       Joshua 24:14-15

14 “So fear the LORD and serve him wholeheartedly. Put away forever the idols your ancestors worshiped when they lived beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt. Serve the LORD alone.

15 But if you refuse to serve the LORD, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the LORD .”

SERVE

The call is to serve.  Whatever situation you find yourself in the call is to serve.  Be committed.  Be a servant.  Set aside ego, learn what you need to know and to do and serve the Lord.

MAY 12 – GOD

May 12                       Micah 4:5

5 Though the nations around us follow their idols, we will follow the LORD our God forever and ever.

GOD

We will follow the Lord.  We will follow the Lord today, tomorrow and forever.  We will not be swayed by what others do for we will follow the Lord.

MAY 11 – KEEP

May 11                       1 Peter 4:19

19 So if you are suffering in a manner that pleases God, keep on doing what is right, and trust your lives to the God who created you, for he will never fail you.

KEEP

Keep on following the Lord.  Continue to do what is right.  He will never fail you.  You keep doing the next right thing.

MAY 10 – Hold On

May 10      Hebrews 4:14-16
14 So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. 15 This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. 16 So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.

HOLD ON
We are now creatures and have a difficult time believing in tomorrow and seeing into the future. Jesus says to hold on. Do the next right thing and life will not take advantage of you. The Lord will give us the grace we need to follow Him. He is Lord.

MAY 9 – Endure

May 9 1      Corinthians 10:12-13
12 If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall. 13 The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.

ENDURE
Life isn’t a sprint, life is a marathon and we are charged with enduring until the end. We will fail but when we do the Lord is there and He will restore us. Ask Him to give you His strength. Be strong in the Lord and the joy of His presence.

MAY 8 – Jesus

May 8 1      Samuel 2:35
35 “Then I will raise up a faithful priest who will serve me and do what I desire. I will establish his family, and they will be priests to my anointed kings forever.

JESUS
Jesus has come. He is alive. Raised from the dead by the power of God and interceding for us even now. Jesus is Lord.

MAY 7 – Love

May 7      Deuteronomy 7:9
9 Understand, therefore, that the LORD your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands.

LOVE
Love the Lord with all of your heart and obey Him. The end result will be a growing and close relationship. Jesus loves you.

MAY 6 – Eternal

May 6      Philippians 1:20-22
20 For I fully expect and hope that I will never be ashamed, but that I will continue to be bold for Christ, as I have been in the past. And I trust that my life will bring honor to Christ, whether I live or die. 21 For to me, living means living for Christ, and dying is even better. 22 But if I live, I can do more fruitful work for Christ. So I really don’t know which is better.

ETERNAL
We are now eternal creatures and members of God’s household. HE is our loving father. Jesus seeks to guide us in the correct way to live. He is Lord.

MAY 5 – Truth

May 5      Philippians 1:6

6 And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.

TRUTH
God is at work in you. He is seeking to make your life joyous and peaceful. Surrender to Him. Get over yourself and be a gracious servant. Out of your service you will discover real riches and joy. Peace be unto you. Jesus is Lord.
