JANUARY 27 – GOD

1/27 John 11:23-27
Jesus told her, “Your brother will rise again.” 24 “Yes,” Martha said, “when everyone else rises, on resurrection day.” 25 Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even though they die like everyone else, will live again. 26 They are given eternal life for believing in me and will never perish. Do you believe this, Martha?” 27 “Yes, Lord,” she told him. “I have always believed you are the Messiah, the Son of God, the one who has come into the world from God.”

GOD
Jesus is God. He is Lord of all. We have everything we need in Jesus. He is alive and He lives in us.

JANUARY 26 – TRUTH

1/26 John 11:16-22
Thomas, nicknamed the Twin, said to his fellow disciples, “Let’s go, too — and die with Jesus.” 17 When Jesus arrived at Bethany, he was told that Lazarus had already been in his grave for four days. 18 Bethany was only a few miles down the road from Jerusalem, 19 and many of the people had come to pay their respects and console Martha and Mary on their loss. 20 When Martha got word that Jesus was coming, she went to meet him. But Mary stayed at home. 21 Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. 22 But even now I know that God will give you whatever you ask.”

TRUTH
Jesus is the bearer of truth. He comes into our life to help us. We always misconstrue what the Lord is doing. He is calling us to obedience and service. Help me Lord to surrender to you.

JANUARY 25 – ALIVE

1/25 John 11:11-15
Then he said, “Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but now I will go and wake him up.” 12 The disciples said, “Lord, if he is sleeping, that means he is getting better!” 13 They thought Jesus meant Lazarus was having a good night’s rest, but Jesus meant Lazarus had died. 14 Then he told them plainly, “Lazarus is dead. 15 And for your sake, I am glad I wasn’t there, because this will give you another opportunity to believe in me. Come, let’s go see him.”

ALIVE
We are alive in Christ. He is the giver of life. In Jesus we have everything we need. He is Lord.

JANUARY 24 – LIGHT

1/24 John 11:7-10
Finally after two days, he said to his disciples, “Let’s go to Judea again.” 8 But his disciples objected. “Teacher,” they said, “only a few days ago the Jewish leaders in Judea were trying to kill you. Are you going there again?” 9 Jesus replied, “There are twelve hours of daylight every day. As long as it is light, people can walk safely. They can see because they have the light of this world. 10 Only at night is there danger of stumbling because there is no light.”

LIGHT
Jesus is the light. In Him there is no darkness. He knows all about us and still loves us. He died for our sin while we were still dead in our sin. Jesus is Lord.

JANUARY 23 – KNEW

1/23 John 11:4-7
But when Jesus heard about it he said, “Lazarus’s sickness will not end in death. No, it is for the glory of God. I, the Son of God, will receive glory from this.” 5 Although Jesus loved Martha, Mary, and Lazarus, 6 he stayed where he was for the next two days and did not go to them.

KNEW
Jesus knew what was happening. He knew how to respond. He knew what He was doing and was totally submitted to the Father. Jesus is Lord.

JANUARY 22 – FRIEND

1/22 John 11:1-3
A man named Lazarus was sick. He lived in Bethany with his sisters, Mary and Martha. 2 This is the Mary who poured the expensive perfume on the Lord’s feet and wiped them with her hair. Her brother, Lazarus, was sick. 3 So the two sisters sent a message to Jesus telling him, “Lord, the one you love is very sick.”

FRIEND
Jesus was a friend to Lazarus, Mary and Martha. He will be your friend. He knows all about you and still He loves you.

JANUARY 21 – TRUE

1/21 John 10:37-42
Don’t believe me unless I carry out my Father’s work. 38 But if I do his work, believe in what I have done, even if you don’t believe me. Then you will realize that the Father is in me, and I am in the Father.” 39 Once again they tried to arrest him, but he got away and left them. 40 He went beyond the Jordan River to stay near the place where John was first baptizing. 41 And many followed him. “John didn’t do miracles,” they remarked to one another, “but all his predictions about this man have come true.” 42 And many believed in him there.

TRUE
Everything that the Word of God says about the Son of God is true. We may not understand how it is true but it is still true. Do not fear-Jesus is alive and is living in you.

JANUARY 20 – GOD

1/20 John 10:30-36
The Father and I are one.” 31 Once again the Jewish leaders picked up stones to kill him. 32 Jesus said, “At my Father’s direction I have done many things to help the people. For which one of these good deeds are you killing me?” 33 They replied, “Not for any good work, but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, have made yourself God.” 34 Jesus replied, “It is written in your own law that God said to certain leaders of the people, ‘I say, you are gods!’ 35 And you know that the Scriptures cannot be altered. So if those people, who received God’s message, were called ‘gods,’ 36 why do you call it blasphemy when the Holy One who was sent into the world by the Father says, ‘I am the Son of God’?
GOD
Jesus is God. When you have seen Jesus you have seen the Father. Take your problems to Jesus. He will sustain you. Blessed be the name of the Lord.

JANUARY 19 – SECURITY

1/19 John 10:26-29
But you don’t believe me because you are not part of my flock. 27 My sheep recognize my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one will snatch them away from me, 29 for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. So no one can take them from me.
SECURITY
We have security in Jesus Christ-He will never leave us nor can anyone take us out of His hand. Give your heart to Jesus. He is Lord and He is able to keep you unto eternity.

JANUARY 18 – JESUS

1/18 John 10:22-25
It was now winter, and Jesus was in Jerusalem at the time of Hanukkah. 23 He was at the Temple, walking through the section known as Solomon’s Colonnade. 24 The Jewish leaders surrounded him and asked, “How long are you going to keep us in suspense? If you are the Messiah, tell us plainly.” 25 Jesus replied, “I have already told you, and you don’t believe me. The proof is what I do in the name of my Father.
JESUS
Jesus came to save us from our sin. That was God’s purpose. He wanted to show us how much He loved us. He was God.
