08/21 1 Corinthians 16:13-14
13 Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong. 14 And do everything with love.
BE
We are called to live and that is facilitated if we first live in God’s presence: BE. Until we can Be we cannot do. Too many want to do and not be. The truth is that if you cannot be a member of God’s family first and get to know Him and follow Him you will not survive when all you want to do is to do. We can’t do a do until we be a be!
08/20 Psalm 59:16
16 But as for me, I will sing about your power. Each morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love. For you have been my refuge, a place of safety when I am in distress.
JOY
Joy comes in the morning when we begin with the Lord. Jesus seeks us immediately. We surrender and rejoice for we belong to Him and He belongs to us. We are a team and He has called each one of us to ministry in His creation.
08/19 Psalm 18:1-2
1 I love you, LORD ; you are my strength. 2 The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.
SAFETY
In a world of chaos and evil we can always be confident that we will find safety in the hands of the Lord. He is actively involved in our life and in pursuing us. Trust in the Lord with your whole heart and He will constantly remind you of His presence
08/18 1 Chronicles 16:11
11 Search for the LORD and for his strength; continually seek him.
OUTRAGEOUS
It is an outrageous fact that the Good News is seeking us this very moment. We belong to the Lord and He will not surrender us to the ravages of evil. We are His property and we are called to trust and obey and Jesus will give us His strength.
08/17 2 Thessalonians 3:3
3 But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.
TRUTH
The truth is that you do not have to struggle with overcoming demons and bad habits. You can turn these over to the Lord. Surrender and then trust are required to strengthen our inner man or woman. Jesus is pleased when you let Him strengthen you. Don’t forget that you cannot face the Evil One for he is a fierce adversary but the Lord Jesus has already defeated him. Surrender. Be faithful. Serve the Lord.
08/16 2 Timothy 1:7
7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
STOP
Stop and let the Lord handle your problem. Anytime you worry stop right then and let the Lord have that problem. Jesus is able to work effectively through the events and activities of your life. Surrender to Jesus and let Him have your life and He will fix it.
08/15 2 Corinthians 12:10
10That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
KEEP ON
Keep on moving forward. Whatever life gives you rest assured that the Lord Jesus will make the end result work for good in your life. When things turn grim and life is almost too much for you to bear just keep on moving forward for soon life will turn into a blessing. We are eternal creatures and while it may seem devastating today it will be okay because Jesus is Lord and we live in eternity.
08/14 Isaiah 40:29
29 He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.
CONCERNED
The Lord is concerned about you. If you are weak and powerless He is especially concerned for you. Do not fear. Do not get depressed about your situation for the Lord cares for you. Talk with Him. Tell Him your needs and He will help you.
08/13 Philippians 4:13
13 For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.
GIVES
Strength comes from the Lord. It is a gift for us to use in living our life. We ask and He gives.
08/12 Psalm 73:28
28 But as for me, how good it is to be near God! I have made the Sovereign LORD my shelter, and I will tell everyone about the wonderful things you do.
TELL
Tell everyone about Jesus. How He saved you. How he gives you the things you need day by day. Remember the miracles in your life and share them. Rejoice and be glad for the Lord is greatly involved in your life. Jesus cares for you. Tell everyone about Jesus.
