JULY 18 – FOCUS

07/18          Colossians 3:17-22

And whatever you do or say, let it be as a representative of the Lord Jesus, all the while giving thanks through him to God the Father. 18 You wives must submit to your husbands, as is fitting for those who belong to the Lord. 19 And you husbands must love your wives and never treat them harshly. 20 You children must always obey your parents, for this is what pleases the Lord. 21 Fathers, don’t aggravate your children. If you do, they will become discouraged and quit trying. 22 You slaves must obey your earthly masters in everything you do. Try to please them all the time, not just when they are watching you. Obey them willingly because of your reverent fear of the Lord.

FOCUS

Focus your life on Jesus. Take your cares and troubles to Him. Value one another as the Lord values you. Do not forget that you are responsible for your spouse, your children and those you know. People count with the Lord and they must count with you.

The Word of God is useful for using in our daily life. We talk the Word, we think the Word, we live the Word knowing that Jesus is Lord and walking in faith that He is in us and using us where we are ministering to the people that we live with in this world. Our life is real and right now is the only now that we will have. Love the Lord with all of your heart and your fellow human beings as your self.

JULY 15 – LOVE

07/15          Colossians 3:14

And the most important piece of clothing you must wear is love. Love is what binds us all together in perfect harmony.

LOVE
The Lord gives us the ability to love. He commands us to love one another. You love because Jesus first loved you. Love one another.

Forgive. That is not a request it is a command. Forgive others because the Lord forgave you.

JULY 13 – HOLY

07/13          Colossians 3:12

Since God chose you to be the holy people whom he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.

HOLY

We are God’s Holy People. Jesus died for our sin and His free gift to us is making us members of God’s family. We live in His victory forever.

JULY 12 – CHRIST

07/12          Colossians 3:11

In this new life, it doesn’t matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbaric, uncivilized, slave, or free. Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us.

CHRIST

Whatever we face, whatever we need Jesus Christ is the solution. Christ is our victory. He sets us free. Jesus is God’s everything.

JULY 11 – DAILY

07/11          Colossians 3:10
In its place you have clothed yourselves with a brand-new nature that is continually being renewed as you learn more and more about Christ, who created this new nature within you.

DAILY

We like to finalize things. Been there done THAT! The normal Christian life is lived daily. We are constantly dealing with our sin, desperately in need of forgiveness often on an hourly basis and living in victory because we believe Jesus that we are saved by grace through faith. It is a free gift of God.

JULY 10 – CHOICES

07/10          Colossians 3:6-9

God’s terrible anger will come upon those who do such things. 7 You used to do them when your life was still part of this world. 8 But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language. 9 Don’t lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old evil nature and all its wicked deeds.

CHOICES
We reap what we sow. If we live our life on our own, refusing to acknowledge the Lord, managing our life and ignoring the Lord we will reap at the end a conclusion that we have chosen. When we refuse to follow the Lord the end result is a path that leads to destruction. Our choices determine our path.

JULY 9 – RELAX

07/09          Colossians 3:5

So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual sin, impurity, lust, and shameful desires. Don’t be greedy for the good things of this life, for that is idolatry.

RELAX
We are called to live a life of abundance knowing that the victory is won. You cannot do that unless you have the right attitude: God is in control, Jesus loves you and you are valuable. Relax. Your life is worthwhile. Don’t live in poverty instead claim the abundance of a relationship with Jesus.
