Today's Good News

MARCH 19 – HEALED

03/19 Luke 17:11-14
As Jesus continued on toward Jerusalem, he reached the border between Galilee and Samaria. 12 As he entered a village there, ten lepers stood at a distance, 13 crying out, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” 14 He looked at them and said, “Go show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, their leprosy disappeared.
HEALED
Jesus is the great healer. What are you struggling with? Jesus will heal you. What has rained on your parade? Jesus will heal you. Seek the Lord and by faith accept His gracious gift of salvation. Jesus is Lord and He will heal you.

MARCH 18 – OBEDIENT

03/18 Luke 17:7-10
“When a servant comes in from plowing or taking care of sheep, he doesn’t just sit down and eat. 8 He must first prepare his master’s meal and serve him his supper before eating his own. 9 And the servant is not even thanked, because he is merely doing what he is supposed to do. 10 In the same way, when you obey me you should say, ‘We are not worthy of praise. We are servants who have simply done our duty.'”
OBEDIENT
Strive to be an obedient servant. Seek the Lord and obey Him in everything you do. Call upon His name and presence in prayer. Praise the Lord for His presence in your life. Then do what He says for you to do. Be about your master’s business and He will be with you.

MARCH 17 – FAITH

03/17 Luke 17:5-6
One day the apostles said to the Lord, “We need more faith; tell us how to get it.” 6 “Even if you had faith as small as a mustard seed,” the Lord answered, “you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘May God uproot you and throw you into the sea,’ and it would obey you!
FAITH
Faith is available for us in any amount we choose. Faith is readily available but few people have world changing faith. Believe in Jesus. Believe in His Word. Believe in your life in Christ and the Lord will be faithful.

MARCH 16 – FORGIVE

03/16 Luke 17:3-4
I am warning you! If another believer sins, rebuke him; then if he repents, forgive him. 4 Even if he wrongs you seven times a day and each time turns again and asks forgiveness, forgive him.”
FORGIVE
You will be forgiven as you forgive. It is critical that we understand this principal of forgiveness. Hating is un-forgiveness. We are called to love on another. Pray for those that abuse and misuse you and most of all forgive them.

MARCH 15 – RESPONSIBILITY

03/15 Luke 17:1-2
One day Jesus said to his disciples, “There will always be temptations to sin, but how terrible it will be for the person who does the tempting. 2 It would be better to be thrown into the sea with a large millstone tied around the neck than to face the punishment in store for harming one of these little ones.
RESPONSIBILITY
We have a responsibility as a redeemed child of God to live and act like Jesus. When we don’t do that we negatively impact the cause of Christ. Obedience is the road we must follow. Service follows out of our obedience. Bless the name of the Lord.

MARCH 14 – JESUS

03/14 Luke 16:27
“Then the rich man said, ‘Please, Father Abraham, send him to my father’s home. 28 For I have five brothers, and I want him to warn them about this place of torment so they won’t have to come here when they die.’ 29 “But Abraham said, ‘Moses and the prophets have warned them. Your brothers can read their writings anytime they want to.’ 30 “The rich man replied, ‘No, Father Abraham! But if someone is sent to them from the dead, then they will turn from their sins.’ 31 “But Abraham said, ‘If they won’t listen to Moses and the prophets, they won’t listen even if someone rises from the dead.'”
JESUS
Jesus became flesh and lived among us and yet without sin. He died to pay the price for my sin and was resurrected from the dead to conqueror death. He is Lord. Is He your Lord?

MARCH 13 – ETERNAL

03/13 Luke 16:19-26
Jesus said, “There was a certain rich man who was splendidly clothed and who lived each day in luxury. 20 At his door lay a diseased beggar named Lazarus. 21 As Lazarus lay there longing for scraps from the rich man’s table, the dogs would come and lick his open sores. 22 Finally, the beggar died and was carried by the angels to be with Abraham. The rich man also died and was buried, 23 and his soul went to the place of the dead. There, in torment, he saw Lazarus in the far distance with Abraham. 24 “The rich man shouted, ‘Father Abraham, have some pity! Send Lazarus over here to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in anguish in these flames.’ 25 “But Abraham said to him, ‘Son, remember that during your lifetime you had everything you wanted, and Lazarus had nothing. So now he is here being comforted, and you are in anguish. 26 And besides, there is a great chasm separating us. Anyone who wanted to cross over to you from here is stopped at its edge, and no one there can cross over to us.’
ETERNAL
The decision to accept or deny Jesus is an eternal decision. We make that decision here on Earth. It binds us in eternity. Ask Jesus into your heart and your life today for there may not be a tomorrow.

MARCH 12 – LAW

03/12 Luke 16:16-18
“Until John the Baptist began to preach, the laws of Moses and the messages of the prophets were your guides. But now the Good News of the Kingdom of God is preached, and eager multitudes are forcing their way in. 17 But that doesn’t mean that the law has lost its force in even the smallest point. It is stronger and more permanent than heaven and earth. 18 “Anyone who divorces his wife and marries someone else commits adultery, and anyone who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.”
LAW
The law is clear and direct. The world doesn’t change the law. My situation doesn’t change the law. Jesus provides forgiveness and grace as we live our life. Jesus is our protector our liberator. Jesus is Lord.

MARCH 11 – SHEEP

03/11 Luke 16:15
Then he said to them, “You like to look good in public, but God knows your evil hearts. What this world honors is an abomination in the sight of God.
SHEEP
We are sheep living in a world filled with wolves. We are at risk. Our testimony puts us in a position to be ridiculed and cast out of society. The world is evil but we are still called to be sheep. We live a life of humility and love for others. We do not seek justice nor do we tell the Lord what we will do: we follow instructions and love the brethren. Love one another including the wolves.

MARCH 10 – WORLD

03/10 Luke 16:13-14
“No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.” 14 The Pharisees, who dearly loved their money, naturally scoffed at all this.
WORLD
Choose whom you will follow-Jesus or the world. If you plan to follow Jesus learn to hang on when times get hard and they will but don’t dally with the world’s way and Jesus way. Do what you have to do to follow Jesus and never look back. Jesus is Lord.
