Today's Good News

JULY 8 – FATHER

07/08 John 2:14-16
In the Temple area he saw merchants selling cattle, sheep, and doves for sacrifices; and he saw moneychangers behind their counters. 15 Jesus made a whip from some ropes and chased them all out of the Temple. He drove out the sheep and oxen, scattered the moneychangers’ coins over the floor, and turned over their tables. 16 Then, going over to the people who sold doves, he told them, “Get these things out of here. Don’t turn my Father’s house into a marketplace!”
FATHER
The Lord God is our Father. He seeks a relationship with us. He will do what has to be done to communicate with us. Jesus came in the flesh living a perfect life, dying an ignominious death and being raised from the dead by the power of God so that we can have life. This life is a life given by God to those that seek Him. The religious always have to be careful that they do not begin to think they are God because they are not. Jesus is Lord. Serve Him.

JULY 7 – YOU

07/07 John 2:12-13
After the wedding he went to Capernaum for a few days with his mother, his brothers, and his disciples. 13 It was time for the annual Passover celebration, and Jesus went to Jerusalem.
YOU
Jesus was concerned about you. His life was totally dedicated to providing a relationship for you with the Father. Jesus led a perfect life. He was fully man and fully God and He walked straight to the Cross so that you and me could be forgiven of our sin. Jesus paid the price. We reap the absolution. Jesus is our salvation.

JULY 6 – BEST

07/06 John 2:9-11
When the master of ceremonies tasted the water that was now wine, not knowing where it had come from (though, of course, the servants knew), he called the bridegroom over. 10 “Usually a host serves the best wine first,” he said. “Then, when everyone is full and doesn’t care, he brings out the less expensive wines. But you have kept the best until now!” 11 This miraculous sign at Cana in Galilee was Jesus’ first display of his glory. And his disciples believed in him.
BEST
The Lord provides us the BEST in our journey of life. We have the best relationship, the best prayer access, the best strength, the best of everything because we have Jesus. Christ is God’s everything and in Him we have accesses to all of the riches of God. Jesus is Lord.

JULY 5 – NEED

07/05 John 2:5-8
But his mother told the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.” 6 Six stone waterpots were standing there; they were used for Jewish ceremonial purposes and held twenty to thirty gallons each. 7 Jesus told the servants, “Fill the jars with water.” When the jars had been filled to the brim, 8 he said, “Dip some out and take it to the master of ceremonies.” So they followed his instructions.
NEED
Jesus meets needs. He meets our needs abundantly more than we can imagine. His impact in our life is to move us towards Christ likeness. Our goal is to be usable and useful in God’s economy. Spend time with Jesus today.

JULY 4 – TIMING

07/04 John 2:1-4
The next day Jesus’ mother was a guest at a wedding celebration in the village of Cana in Galilee. 2 Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the celebration. 3 The wine supply ran out during the festivities, so Jesus’ mother spoke to him about the problem. “They have no more wine,” she told him. 4 “How does that concern you and me?” Jesus asked. “My time has not yet come.”
TIMING
Timing is everything so it is said. Think of your own life-the good things and the bad things that would not have happened if the timing were just a little different. Okay with that said we need to understand that Jesus already knows what our timing will be and how it will change our life. Surrender your heart, bend your knee and Jesus will change everything about your life. He will lead you to be a helper of others, an enabler for those around you and equip you to live a life of gratitude. Change is the key. We need to change and become more like Jesus.

JULY 3 – JESUS

07/03 John 1:49-51
Nathanael replied, “Teacher, you are the Son of God — the King of Israel!” 50 Jesus asked him, “Do you believe all this just because I told you I had seen you under the fig tree? You will see greater things than this.” 51 Then he said, “The truth is, you will all see heaven open and the angels of God going up and down upon the Son of Man.”
JESUS
Make no mistake-Jesus is alive and well and He knows what is happening. Don’t let the cares and worries of this world convince you that you cannot change. You can. Don’t let the whispers of the spiritual realm tell you life isn’t worth living-in Jesus all things will work towards good in your life. Let go and let Jesus have you.

JULY 2 – GOD KNOWS

07/02 John 1:48
“How do you know about me?” Nathanael asked. And Jesus replied, “I could see you under the fig tree before Philip found you.”
GOD KNOWS
The Lord knows where you are and what you are facing. He will walk with you as you go through it and if you will spend time with Him, He will guide you in the right way. The Lord knows and we never do. Seek His face and spend time with Jesus.

JULY 1 – JESUS

07/01 John 1:46-47
“Nazareth!” exclaimed Nathanael. “Can anything good come from there?” “Just come and see for yourself,” Philip said. 47 As they approached, Jesus said, “Here comes an honest man — a true son of Israel.”
JESUS
Jesus was looking for Nathanael and had Philip bring him. Jesus knew Nathanael. Jesus knows you. Wherever you are Jesus can find you. What ever you are doing Jesus will change you and bring you close. Try Jesus today.

JUNE 30 – FOUND

06/30 John 1:43
The next day Jesus decided to go to Galilee. He found Philip and said to him, “Come, be my disciple.” 44 Philip was from Bethsaida, Andrew and Peter’s hometown. 45 Philip went off to look for Nathanael and told him, “We have found the very person Moses and the prophets wrote about! His name is Jesus, the son of Joseph from Nazareth.”
FOUND
Jesus found Philip. Philip found Andrew. Jesus found you. Who have you found for Christ? It’s easy. Tell everyone you know about Jesus and He will come to anyone that is willing to surrender his or her life to Him. Jesus is Lord.

JUNE 29 – CHANGE

06/29 John 1:42
Then Andrew brought Simon to meet Jesus. Looking intently at Simon, Jesus said, “You are Simon, the son of John — but you will be called Cephas” (which means Peter ).
CHANGE
A name change certainly signals change and Jesus brings great change into Simon Peter’s life. He will do the same in your life. He will guide you where you should go. Christ will walk with you thru the difficulties of daily life. Jesus loves you.
