7/01 Psalm 1:1-6
Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with scoffers. But they delight in doing everything the LORD wants; day and night they think about his law. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season without fail. Their leaves never wither, and in all they do, they prosper. But this is not true of the wicked. They are like worthless chaff, scattered by the wind. They will be condemned at the time of judgment. Sinners will have no place among the godly. For the LORD watches over the path of the godly, but the path of the wicked leads to destruction.
He is Lord and He loves us. Claim joy in your life by taking your eyes off the cares and worries of this world and gazing with great consistency at the Lord Jesus. Let the Lord have control of you for He is in control.

6/30 Romans 1:30-32
They are backstabbers, haters of God, insolent, proud, and boastful. They are forever inventing new ways of sinning and are disobedient to their parents. They refuse to understand, break their promises, and are heartless and unforgiving. They are fully aware of God’s death penalty for those who do these things, yet they go right ahead and do them anyway. And, worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too.
Lord forgive me. Forgive me for sins that I have committed and know that I have committed. In our quiet time of prayer I will faithfully enumerate and detail those sins to You Lord please forgive me. And the men, instead of having normal sexual relationships with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men and, as a result, suffered within themselves the penalty they so richly deserved.
Sin is pervasive in this world. Even the children of God must pay careful attention to the way they live or they too will be overrun by sin. Stay close to the Lord. Read His Word. So God let them go ahead and do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies. Instead of believing what they knew was the truth about God, they deliberately chose to believe lies. So they worshiped the things God made but not the Creator himself, who is to be praised forever. Amen.
Mankind lives in blindness to wickedness. Worshipping something that is made and not the maker is sad. Jesus came into His world and presented Himself to us so that we would understand first hand the love of the Father. If we believe in Jesus He will take away our blindness and give us eyes to see and a heart that can love. He also gives us an eternal relationship to the Father.
