10/17               Ephesians 5:15 

So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. 

WISE

Jesus in our life makes us wise.  He brings the light so that we can see the difference between the world and the way of God.  He is Lord.  He equips us.  He connects us with God’s power and guides us to use that power to lead a Godly life.   

10/16               Ephesians 5:10-14 

Carefully determine what pleases the Lord.  11 Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them. 12 It is shameful even to talk about the things that ungodly people do in secret. 13 But their evil intentions will be exposed when the light shines on them,  14 for the light makes everything visible. This is why it is said, “Awake, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will give you light.” 

JESUS

Jesus knows our sorrow.  He feels our pain.  He stands with us as we strive to survive.  The Lord Jesus is concerned that we grow and glow with the power of God enabling us to be what He created us to be-proclaimers of the Gospel.  We are new creatures in Christ and in Him we are representatives of the Lord High God.  We can be more like Jesus day by day and we can do His work here on Earth.  Praise the Lord for His absolute and eternal love for us. 

10/15               Ephesians 5:8-9 

For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! 9 For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true. 

LIGHT

Jesus is the light.  He gives us the ability to see our sin and navigate to and with the Lord.  Spend time with Jesus.  Read the Bible.  Let His Words marinate in your soul.  He will give you the light you need to see your way to the Father each day. 

10/14               Ephesians 5:5-7 

You can be sure that no immoral, impure, or greedy person will inherit the Kingdom of Christ and of God. For a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world.
6 Don’t be fooled by those who try to excuse these sins, for the anger of God will fall on all who disobey him.  7 Don’t participate in the things these people do. 

LIFE

How we live matters.  How we live before a watching world matters.  It is important for us to let Jesus give us the wisdom, mercy, grace and understanding we need to live a Christ like life.  It takes time with Jesus to appropriate His strength into our life.  Today spend time with Jesus.  Let Him have control of your mind and your heart. 

10/13               Ephesians 5:3-4 

Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among you. Such sins have no place among God’s people. 4 Obscene stories, foolish talk, and coarse jokes—these are not for you. Instead, let there be thankfulness to God. 

GRATITUDE

We are called to have an attitude of gratitude.  Today, make a list of the things for which you are grateful.  Keep the list and think about it.  Jesus will help you add to the list.  An amazing experience for every one of us.   

10/12               Matthew 22:37-38

37 Jesus replied, “‘You must love the your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment.

SURRENDER

We cannot work our way into the kingdom of God nor can we work our way into receiving good things in our life.  Surrender your life to Jesus and get to know Him.  He is the light and life that we need for living for the Lord.  Jesus in us fulfills the first and greatest commandment for our life is hid Christ for God.  Let Jesus equip you to lead a Godly life. 

10/11               Matthew 6:33-34

33 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. 34 “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.

TODAY

We are now creatures assigned to live in the moment.  Let us not fantasize about the future but instead deal with today in confidence of the Lord’s presence and His good intentions toward us.  Do not fear.  Walk in joy.  Jesus loves you.       

10/09               Daniel 9:9

9 But the Lord our God is merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against him.

MERCIFUL

O Lord you are merciful to me.  I am constantly going off course, denying your strength, abusing our relationship and yet you are still merciful to me.  Your grace is over abounding and your love is beyond anything that I can think or do.  Lord I am precious to you and I am so grateful.  Praise the Lord from whom all blessings flow.

10/08               Hebrews 10:17

17 Then he says, “I will never again remember their sins and lawless deeds.”

CLEANSED

The blood of Jesus cleanses me from all unrighteousness.  He bought me with a price.  He saved me from my former self creating me as a new self.  Now I have access to the Father and a life that is in right standing with God.  Jesus is Lord.  He is Lord of my life. 

10/07               Ephesians 1:7

7 He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.

HIS

Jesus paid the price to redeem me from my sinfulness and separation from the family of God.  Now I am forgiven.  I belong to Him.  I have become part of the Family of God.  No longer a slave to sin.  Jesus guides me daily.  He gives me wisdom, mercy, grace and understanding.  He is Lord.
