Fear Of The Lord Means Worshiping Reverently

  1. Fear Of The Lord Means Worshiping Reverently

Psalm 19:9 — “The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever.”

Hebrews 12:29 — “Our God is a consuming fire.”

Psalm 96:9 — “Worship the LORD in holy attire; Tremble before Him.”

The fear of the Lord restores seriousness to worship. True worship is not entertainment. It is the soul bowing before a holy God. Holy fear gives weight to worship and reminds us that we stand before the King of glory.

• Reverence deepens worship.
• Holy fear produces humility.
• Worship becomes God-centered instead of self-centered.

What this means:
• God deserves reverent worship.
• Worship should exalt Christ above emotion.
• God’s holiness should shape gatherings.
• Reverence creates spiritual depth.

Daily walk:
• Approach worship prayerfully.
• Spend quiet moments reflecting on God’s holiness.
• Worship with both joy and reverence.
