JUNE 18 – SUFFER

06/18          Colossians 1:24

I am glad when I suffer for you in my body, for I am completing what remains of Christ’s sufferings for his body, the church.

SUFFER

We will suffer for the Gospel. The world will ignore most of what we say. We may even be stoned and ostracized for proclaiming the Gospel. Remember you belong to Him and He will always keep you. Live with courage.

JUNE 17 – SIN

06/17          Colossians 1:23

But you must continue to believe this truth and stand in it firmly. Don’t drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News. The Good News has been preached all over the world, and I, Paul, have been appointed by God to proclaim it.

SIN

Sin will tell you a lot of lies. Here is the truth: when Jesus saves you, you are saved. Sin will tell you see how you act. Jesus says you belong to me and I will never let you go. Salvation is a gift. You can’t earn it. Jesus saved you.

JUNE 16 – SIN

06/16          Colossians 1:21-22

This includes you who were once so far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions, 22 yet now he has brought you back as his friends. He has done this through his death on the cross in his own human body. As a result, he has brought you into the very presence of God, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.

SIN

We condemn the sin others do and somehow or another reclassify our sin as little mistakes or forget them altogether. Sin is sin. It is evil. It is dark. It hampers our relationship with the Father. Ask the Lord to point out your sin. Then when the Holy Spirit touches your heart, stop and ask the Lord for forgiveness. Keep short accounts with Jesus.

JUNE 15 – RECONCILED

06/15          Colossians 1:19-20

For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, 20 and by him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of his blood on the cross.

RECONCILED

The Lord Jesus Christ has reconciled us to the Father. He forgives us, gives us His righteousness and brings us into the Family of God. Rejoice Jesus is indeed Lord.

JUNE 14 – CHRIST

06/14          Colossians 1:18

Christ is the head of the church, which is his body. He is the first of all who will rise from the dead, so he is first in everything.

CHRIST

First, first, first in all things, and in everything and He is head of the church. When you are fearful remember that we serve a Risen Savior whose every thought towards you is a thought for good.

JUNE 13 – JESUS

06/13          Colossians 1:17

He existed before everything else began, and he holds all creation together.

JESUS

Saved and sinner alike cannot exist without Jesus. He holds all creation together. He is the Alpha and Omega. One day we will be with Him for eternity.

JUNE 12 – JESUS

06/12          Colossians 1:16

Christ is the one through whom God created everything in heaven and earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see — kings, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities. Everything has been created through him and for him.

JESUS

JESUS is God’s everything. He is all and in all and yet he is very God, creator of all things, always was and is. He is certainly Lord of all things.

JUNE 11 – JESUS

06/11          Colossians 1:15

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before God made anything at all and is supreme over all creation.

JESUS

Jesus is the Living Lord. He is just like God. He was the creative impetus of God and He is very much God. Focus on Jesus. He is all you need.

JUNE 10 – BLOOD

06/10          Colossians 1:14

God has purchased our freedom with his blood and has forgiven all our sins.

BLOOD

The blood of Jesus was shed for you. His blood cleanses you from all unrighteousness and provides forgiveness for your sin. Jesus did for us what we cannot do for ourselves. He is Lord.

JUNE 9 – DARKNESS

06/09          Colossians 1:13

For he has rescued us from the one who rules in the kingdom of darkness, and he has brought us into the Kingdom of his dear Son.

DARKNESS

We formerly lived in darkness, dead in our trespasses and sin. Jesus saved us and now we live in the light. We will never live in the darkness again for Jesus is the LIGHT and life and we live in Him.
