OCTOBER 6 – LIVE

10/06          Ephesians 4:17-19

With the Lord’s authority I say this: Live no longer as the Gentiles do, for they are hopelessly confused.  18 Their minds are full of darkness; they wander far from the life God gives because they have closed their minds and hardened their hearts against him.  19They have no sense of shame. They live for lustful pleasure and eagerly practice every kind of impurity.

LIVE

Live clearly by letting the Lord set your agenda.  Praise Him as each day begins.  Remember all of the things that you are thankful for and be quick to thank God.  Ask Him to bless those around you, to help the weak and give them strength and to help you to care for those around you.  Thank the Lord.  Thank Him with all your heart.  Then you will see clearly the needs around you and what you can do and you can do something.

OCTOBER 5 – BE

10/05          Ephesians 4:16

He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.

BE

Be yourself.  You have a gift that the Lord wants to use in His body, the Church.  Do what only you can do.  Do it well.  Do it without worrying what somebody else does or doesn’t do.  You count.  You are needed.  Do your thing.

OCTOBER 4 – KNOW

10/04          Ephesians 4:11-15

Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers.  12 Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.  13 This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ. 14Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth.  15 Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church.

KNOW

In Jesus we will know the truth and the truth will set us free.  He is here with us, spending time with us.  Christ is our leader.  He knows us and loves us.  We are encouraged to spend time with Jesus.  He will tell us the way we should go.  Jesus is Lord.

OCTOBER 3 – JESUS

10/03          Ephesians 4:8-10

That is why the Scriptures say, “When he ascended to the heights, he led a crowd of captives and gave gifts to his people.”  9 Notice that it says “he ascended.” This clearly means that Christ also descended to our lowly world.  10 And the same one who descended is the one who ascended higher than all the heavens, so that he might fill the entire universe with himself.

JESUS

Jesus is God’s everything. He does for us what we cannot do for ourselves.  He saves us, He graces us, He guides us.  Everything we need for victorious Christian living we find in Jesus.  He loves us and will never leave us.  Praise the Lord.  Praise the name of the Lord-Jesus.

OCTOBER 2 – YOU

10/02          Ephesians 4:4-7

For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future.  5 There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all, in all, and living through all.  7 However, he has given each one of us a special gift through the generosity of Christ.

YOU

You have a special gift. I don’t know what it is but you do. Exercise your gift.  Do what the Lord called and equipped you to do. Today.  Now.  Consistently.

OCTOBER 1 – PERSONAL

10/01          Ephesians 4:1-3

1 Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God.  2 Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. 3 Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace.

PERSONAL

Our faith is personal and so is our responsibility.  I have a responsibility to care for those around me doing it with an humble attitude. I am a servant.

SEPTEMBER 30 – LOVE

09/30               Ephesians 3:19-21

19 May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.  20 Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.  21 Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.

LOVE

Amen Lord.  Amen.  We are so needy and weak and yet You Lord make a great to do over us.  You came into our world and suffered as each one of us suffer and yet without sin.  You willing died for each one of us as if there were no other of us and the power of God the Father raised You from the dead and seated You at His right hand. Now You continue in Your love for us. Glory to God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ for His precious love and watch-care over us.  Praise the name of the Lord.

SEPTEMBER 29 – KNOW

09/29               Ephesians 3:17-18

17Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. 18 And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.

KNOW

I want to know Your love Lord in all its fullness.  Thank you for caring for me.  Thank you for sharing your love with me.  I am so grateful for salvation and Your process of sanctification.  Help me to grow and to always be maturing.  Jesus is God’s everything.

SEPTEMBER 28 – HELP

09/28               Ephesians 3:14-16

14 When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, 15 the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. 16 I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit.

HELP

Lord I need Your help.  I will not survive on my own.  Equip me to survive and thrive in the local Church.  I am most grateful for strength and peace.

SEPTEMBER 27 – SUFFER

09/27               Ephesians 3:11-13

11 This was his eternal plan, which he carried out through Christ Jesus our Lord.

12Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence. 13 So please don’t lose heart because of my trials here. I am suffering for you, so you should feel honored.

SUFFER

In this World we will suffer and in His body we find help for our suffering.  The Church is the healing place and it is filled with needy people. We help each other.  Serve and grow.
