SEPTEMBER 13 – HELP

9/13 Psalm 121
1 A song for the ascent to Jerusalem. I look up to the mountains — does my help come from there? 2 My help comes from the LORD, who made the heavens and the earth! 3 He will not let you stumble and fall; the one who watches over you will not sleep. 4 Indeed, he who watches over Israel never tires and never sleeps. 5 The LORD himself watches over you! The LORD stands beside you as your protective shade. 6 The sun will not hurt you by day, nor the moon at night. 7 The LORD keeps you from all evil and preserves your life. 8 The LORD keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.
HELP
The Lord is our help. He is always near. He will not forget us and will always bring help on time. Stand where you are planted. Serve those you are with. Trust the Lord to effectively manage and guide your life.

SEPTEMBER 12 – LIAR

9/12 Psalm 120:1
A song for the ascent to Jerusalem. I took my troubles to the LORD; I cried out to him, and he answered my prayer. 2 Rescue me, O LORD, from liars and from all deceitful people. 3 O deceptive tongue, what will God do to you? How will he increase your punishment? 4 You will be pierced with sharp arrows and burned with glowing coals. 5 How I suffer among these scoundrels of Meshech! It pains me to live with these people from Kedar! 6 I am tired of living here among people who hate peace. 7 As for me, I am for peace; but when I speak, they are for war!
LIAR
We all were once liars. We lied about important stuff and unimportant stuff because it was our nature. Now in Christ we have a new heart and a new life. Ask Jesus to help you deal with reality and stop lying especially to yourself. Jesus brings real truth to our life. Serve Him and Him alone.

SEPTEMBER 11 – GIFT

9/11 2 Corinthians 5:18-21
18 All this newness of life is from God, who brought us back to himself through what Christ did. And God has given us the task of reconciling people to him. 19 For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. This is the wonderful message he has given us to tell others. 20 We are Christ’s ambassadors, and God is using us to speak to you. We urge you, as though Christ himself were here pleading with you, “Be reconciled to God!” 21 For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.
GIFT
Our reconciliation is a gift from the Father. Jesus paid the price. We are the beneficiaries of the Lord’s great love. Feel blessed for we are. Feel loved for we are. Life is good. Give those spirits of the blues and sadness up and rejoice in Jesus Christ.

SEPTEMBER 10 – NEW

9/10 2 Corinthians 5:16-17
16 So we have stopped evaluating others by what the world thinks about them. Once I mistakenly thought of Christ that way, as though he were merely a human being. How differently I think about him now! 17 What this means is that those who become Christians become new persons. They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone. A new life has begun!
NEW
When we come to Christ He makes all things new. Do not let the Evil One point out your old life and declare victory. You have been bought with a price and you are a new creature in Christ. Jesus will lead you and will never leave you.

SEPTEMBER 9 – JESUS

9/9 2 Corinthians 5:15
15 He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live to please themselves. Instead, they will live to please Christ, who died and was raised for them.
JESUS
He died for our sin so that we might have forgiveness. We are forgiven and covered by the work that Jesus did on the cross. It isn’t me Lord it is You. We are standing in the need of prayer and Jesus is praying for us right now.

SEPTEMBER 9 – CHANGE

9/8 2 Corinthians 5:13-14
13 If it seems that we are crazy, it is to bring glory to God. And if we are in our right minds, it is for your benefit. 14 Whatever we do, it is because Christ’s love controls us. Since we believe that Christ died for everyone, we also believe that we have all died to the old life we used to live.
CHANGE
Lord help me to change. Break sins hold on me. Equip me to walk in your ways and energize me to become more like Jesus. Father I want to be usable and useful in your kingdom work.

SEPTEMBER 7 – HEART

9/7 2 Corinthians 5:12
12 Are we trying to pat ourselves on the back again? No, we are giving you a reason to be proud of us, so you can answer those who brag about having a spectacular ministry rather than having a sincere heart before God.
HEART
The Lord sees my heart. I can’t fool God. Lord cleanse my heart and connect me with Your ways. Control my hands and feet. Make me a blessing to someone. Use me today.

SEPTEMBER 6 – FEAR

9/6 2 Corinthians 5:11
11 It is because we know this solemn fear of the Lord that we work so hard to persuade others. God knows we are sincere, and I hope you know this, too.
FEAR
We are told that when the Bible says fear that it means reverence or awe. It does mean that but it also means to fear. We are not like God. We are wedded to sinfulness because we are human. We are dependent upon Jesus for everything in the spiritual realm. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

SEPTEMBER 5 – SAVED

9/5 2 Corinthians 5:9-10
9 So our aim is to please him always, whether we are here in this body or away from this body. 10 For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in our bodies.
SAVED
We are saved and yet still human. It’s our hands and feet directed by cold hearts that get us into trouble. We know what we should do but don’t do it. An easy thing to remember and easy to follow: “Do the next right thing.”

SEPTEMBER 4 – HEART

9/4 2 Corinthians 5:5-8
5 God himself has prepared us for this, and as a guarantee he has given us his Holy Spirit. 6 So we are always confident, even though we know that as long as we live in these bodies we are not at home with the Lord. 7 That is why we live by believing and not by seeing. 8 Yes, we are fully confident, and we would rather be away from these bodies, for then we will be at home with the Lord.
HEART
That yearning in our heart is for God’s family. We have a need to be filled by the living Lord. Without Him we are incomplete. Without Him our life is meaningless. I believe in Jesus, that He died to pay the price for my sin and was resurrected from the dead by the Lord. This very moment Jesus is in the place of honor at the right hand of God ever interceding for me. I need Jesus. Jesus loves me.
