MAY 13 – LORD

05/13          1 Thessalonians 4:9

But I don’t need to write to you about the Christian love that should be shown among God’s people. For God himself has taught you to love one another.

LORD

Jesus is Lord. He is able to teach us to love one another and to love Him with all your might and your heart.

MAY 12 – RULES

05/12          1 Thessalonians 4:8

Anyone who refuses to live by these rules is not disobeying human rules but is rejecting God, who gives his Holy Spirit to you.

RULES

We are rules people. We live by rules. We have city rules, state rules and federal rules. We have rules at home and at school and work. Everywhere we go we have rules. When we begin to think about God do you really think there wouldn’t be rules? We have spiritual rules also. Follow the rules that the Lord has laid out for us.

MAY 11 – NEVER

05/11          1 Thessalonians 4:6-7

Never cheat a Christian brother in this matter by taking his wife, for the Lord avenges all such sins, as we have solemnly warned you before. 7 God has called us to be holy, not to live impure lives.

NEVER

Never cheat a Christian brother in anything. Follow the Lord and serve Him only. Do not let the cares and worries of the world drag you down. Surrender your life to Jesus and He will make it work.

MAY 10 – WISELY

05/10          1 Thessalonians 4:2-5

For you remember what we taught you in the name of the Lord Jesus. 3 God wants you to be holy, so you should keep clear of all sexual sin. 4 Then each of you will control your body and live in holiness and honor — 5 not in lustful passion as the pagans do, in their ignorance of God and his ways.

WISELY

Live your life wisely. Listen to the Lord. Spend time with Jesus. Focus your mind and your heart upon Him and He will direct your daily walk.

MAY 9 – LIVE

05/09          1 Thessalonians 4:1

Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we urge you in the name of the Lord Jesus to live in a way that pleases God, as we have taught you. You are doing this already, and we encourage you to do so more and more.

LIVE

Live your life in such a way that your Godliness is evident. Please God, that is the call. Surrender your self to Jesus and He will guide your path. Follow Jesus.

MAY 8 – STAND

05/08          1 Thessalonians 3:12

And may the Lord make your love grow and overflow to each other and to everyone else, just as our love overflows toward you. 13 As a result, Christ will make your hearts strong, blameless, and holy when you stand before God our Father on that day when our Lord Jesus comes with all those who belong to him.

STAND
If we build our life on love we will be able to stand in that moment we are before the Lord God. Jesus is focused on our life. We need to have our life focused on Him.

MAY 7 – FAITH

05/07          1 Thessalonians 3:10-11
Night and day we pray earnestly for you, asking God to let us see you again to fill up anything that may still be missing in your faith. 11 May God himself, our Father, and our Lord Jesus make it possible for us to come to you very soon.

FAITH
Encourage one another. Faith works best together with the family of God, Jesus indwells us and enables us to encourage one another. Jesus is Lord and He is calling us to be His hands and feet.

MAY 6 – JOY

05/06          1 Thessalonians 3:9

How we thank God for you! Because of you we have great joy in the presence of God.

JOY
Joy is a gift that we receive from the Lord. The victory has been won, Jesus is alive and He is alive in us. Amazing, great joy that Jesus Christ has given us new life, life like He has and He lives in us. That is joy deep in our new heart.

MAY 5 – LIFE

05/05          1 Thessalonians 3:8
It gives us new life, knowing you remain strong in the Lord.

LIFE
Believe in Jesus. He gives us new life. When you believe in Jesus believe also in His free gift of life like His-eternal. Jesus loves you. He calls us to love on another.

MAY 4 – STRONG

05/04          1 Thessalonians 3:6-7

Now Timothy has just returned, bringing the good news that your faith and love are as strong as ever. He reports that you remember our visit with joy and that you want to see us just as much as we want to see you. 7 So we have been greatly comforted, dear brothers and sisters, in all of our own crushing troubles and suffering, because you have remained strong in your faith.

STRONG
Jesus will equip us to be strong in our faith. He will give us the love, joy, peace, patience and wisdom we need to live a growing daily Christ like life.
