07/02          Colossians 2:16-17

So don’t let anyone condemn you for what you eat or drink, or for not celebrating certain holy days or new-moon ceremonies or Sabbaths. 17 For these rules were only shadows of the real thing, Christ himself.

JESUS

Jesus loves you. He loves you with an intensity that is not judgmental, not waiting for you to do anything except surrender to Him. You can do that. You can go to Him and present yourself as you are and simply say Lord Jesus here I am please accept me. He will. He isn’t waiting on you to do something for Him. He is waiting on your acceptance and surrender. Ask Jesus into your heart right now if you haven’t. If you have asked Him into your heart, rejoice for Jesus is Lord and He loves you.

07/01          Colossians 2:15

In this way, God disarmed the evil rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross of Christ.

VICTORY
The victory has been won. We are living in victory. We belong to Him. He is our Father and we are His children. Jesus is Lord.

06/30          Colossians 2:13-14

You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ. He forgave all our sins. 14 He canceled the record that contained the charges against us. He took it and destroyed it by nailing it to Christ’s cross.

YOU
You live and breathe and are in Jesus. He is the substance and foundation of our existence. One day every knee will bow and all will know that Jesus is Lord. You know Him now therefore claim His presence and serve Him.

06/29          Colossians 2:11-12

When you came to Christ, you were “circumcised,” but not by a physical procedure. It was a spiritual procedure — the cutting away of your sinful nature. 12 For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to a new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead.

DIFFERENT

Before we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior we were dead in our trespasses and sin, at war with God and on our own. Life was dark when we surveyed the future. In Jesus we have inclusion in the Family of God, light to live our life and His presence to guide us moment by moment. We are now different for we are alive in Christ and part of the Family of God.

06/28          Colossians 2:9-10

For in Christ the fullness of God lives in a human body, 10 and you are complete through your union with Christ. He is the Lord over every ruler and authority in the universe.

POWER

There is power in surrender. Let Jesus have control of your life. Talk with Him. Seek His guidance. Do not follow the world-follow Jesus.

06/27          Colossians 2:6-8

And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to live in obedience to him. 7 Let your roots grow down into him and draw up nourishment from him, so you will grow in faith, strong and vigorous in the truth you were taught. Let your lives overflow with thanksgiving for all he has done. 8 Don’t let anyone lead you astray with empty philosophy and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the evil powers of this world, and not from Christ.

OBEDIENCE

Obedience is a journey. We do we don’t always struggling and yet by faith we live. I will do the next right thing. Forgive me Lord. Keep short accounts with Jesus-change now, ask for forgiveness now, now is the time to do the next right thing. Follow Jesus.

06/26          Colossians 2:4-5

I am telling you this so that no one will be able to deceive you with persuasive arguments. 5 For though I am far away from you, my heart is with you. And I am very happy because you are living as you should and because of your strong faith in Christ.
FAITH
It takes faith to grow in Christ. It takes faith to stand in Christ. Jesus is hear with us but it takes faith to submit yourself to Him and believe that He will respond. Jesus is Lord.

06/25          Colossians 2:2-3

My goal is that they will be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love. I want them to have full confidence because they have complete understanding of God’s secret plan, which is Christ himself. 3 In him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

JESUS
Jesus is God’s everything. Spend time with Him. Ask Jesus to cleanse your heart and give you wisdom, mercy, grace and understanding. Surrender you selfishness to Jesus. Deny self, bend the knee and let Jesus heal your heart and guide your life.

06/24          Colossians 2:1

I want you to know how much I have agonized for you and for the church at Laodicea, and for many other friends who have never known me personally.

PRAY

Pray for your friends and for yourself. Pray for those that mistreat you and for your enemies. Pray. In prayer we find strength. We get closer to Jesus. He gives us a growing awareness of the tremendous needs in the world as we pray. Please each day in every way pray.

06/23          Colossians 1:29

I work very hard at this, as I depend on Christ’s mighty power that works within me.

SURRENDER

If I surrender my life to Jesus He will work in and thru me to guide me and equip me to face the evil that attacks us at every opportunity. Let go and Let Jesus and He will never disappoint you. He is Lord.
