FEBRUARY 28 – CARE

02/28          Matthew 6:19-21

“Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. 21 Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.

CARE

The Lord cares for you.  He is concerned about every single person and is calling you to care for them as He cares for you.  We do those things that make a difference in the lives of our fellow man.  We are the representative of the Lord High God and He will use us to minister to the people who live around us.  People need the Lord and they will only know Him when you act like Jesus.

FEBRUARY 27 – LIVE

02/27          Matthew 6:14-18

“If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. 15 But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins. 16 “And when you fast, don’t make it obvious, as the hypocrites do, for they try to look miserable and disheveled so people will admire them for their fasting. I tell you the truth, that is the only reward they will ever get. 17 But when you fast, comb your hair and wash your face. 18 Then no one will notice that you are fasting, except your Father, who knows what you do in private. And your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.

LIVE

Live like you are in the presence of the Lord.  He is there and He is concerned.  Speak to Him about your needs and do so privately for the Lord is minutely involved in your life.  He knows you.  He is Lord.

FEBRUARY 26 – MEANINGFUL

02/26          Matthew 6:9-13

Pray like this: Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. 10 May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us today the food we need, 12 and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us. 13 And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one.

MEANINGFUL

Our time with the Lord is important and is a meaningful time of conversation.  Talk with the Lord like He is standing there with you and knows everything about you.  Ask Him.  He will listen.

FEBRUARY 25 – KNOW

02/25          Matthew 6:7-8

“When you pray, don’t babble on and on as people of other religions do. They think their prayers are answered merely by repeating their words again and again. 8 Don’t be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him!

KNOW

Know the Lord.  His Word gives us specific details about who He is and His character.  Learn about Him.  Speak to Him as One that is there for He is concerned about every aspect of your life.  Jesus is Lord.

FEBRUARY 24 – PRAY

02/24          Matthew 6:6

But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.

PRAY

We are called to pray.  We are encouraged to pray.  We are directed to pray.  Pray.  You need to talk with the Lord.  You need to spend time with Jesus talking with Him about your life.

FEBRUARY 23 – REWARD

02/23          Matthew 6:5

“When you pray, don’t be like the hypocrites who love to pray publicly on street corners and in the synagogues where everyone can see them. I tell you the truth, that is all the reward they will ever get.

REWARD

We will indeed receive reward for the good that we do but we don’t want to receive that reward now for it will be far better to recive our reward from the hand of the Lord in Heaven.  Truly care for those around you because they need you.

FEBRUARY 22 – DO

02/22          Matthew 6:3-4

But when you give to someone in need, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. 4 Give your gifts in private, and your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.

DO

Do good and do it often.  Do good and do it because the Father has asked you to be generous.  When we minister to the poor the Father says He is in our debt.  Jesus loves you therefore you should love those around you.

FEBRUARY 21 – QUIETLY

02/21          Matthew 6:1-2

“Watch out! Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven. 2 When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites do—blowing trumpets in the synagogues and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! I tell you the truth, they have received all the reward they will ever get.

QUIETLY

Do your good deeds quietly.  The Father will reward you.  Develop a habit of generosity.  Do good to others.  Forgive quickly.  See forgiveness for your sin immediately don’t let it linger on your psyche.  Jesus is Lord and He will keep us on the right track as we seek His quidance.

FEBRUARY 20 – PURPOSE

02/20          Psalm 8:5
Yet you made them only a little lower than God and crowned them with glory and honor. 6 You gave them charge of everything you made, putting all things under their authority— 7 the flocks and the herds and all the wild animals, 8 the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea, and everything that swims the ocean currents. 9 O LORD, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth!

PURPOSE
The Lord has a particular plan for your life.  It just fits you.  It begins now and stretches out into Eternity.

FEBRUARY 19 – CARES

02/19          Psalm 8:3-4
When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers— the moon and the stars you set in place— 4 what are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them?

CARES
God cares for you.  He created you.  He shepherds you through your entire life.  He loves you.  Jesus cares for you.
