09/18               Mark 5:34-36

And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace. Your suffering is over.” 35 While he was still speaking to her, messengers arrived from the home of Jairus, the leader of the synagogue. They told him, “Your daughter is dead. There’s no use troubling the Teacher now.” 36 But Jesus overheard them and said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid. Just have faith.”

FAITH

Have faith in Jesus.  He will see you through this present trouble.  All of our problems are temporary and His love, the love of Jesus, is permanent. 

09/17               Zephaniah 3:17

For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”

REJOICE

This is the day the Lord has made and you can rejoice in it.  The Lord loves you with a love that is beyond human comprehension.  His love isn’t based on the good things you do but in fact is based on the grace the Lord gives.  He knows all about you and still loves you with a love that is complete and eternal.  Rejoice for this is the wonderful day that the Lord has made and He has given you the privilege of being alive and living in His day.  Rejoice. 

09/16               Psalm 34:4

I prayed to the LORD, and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears.

FREE

When the Lord is in control of your heart He will free you from your sins and fears.  Our fears walk hand in hand with our sins.  Sin separates us from Jesus and causes us to feel all alone.  When we are overwhelmed in our sin we are in bondage to Satan.  He can manipulate us any which way.  Jesus will free us from bondage to sin and also instill in our heart a real courageous, free spirit.  Praise the Lord for He is in control. 

09/15               Psalm 118:6-8

The LORD is for me, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me? 7 Yes, the LORD is for me; he will help me. I will look in triumph at those who hate me. 8 It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in people.

HELP

The Lord will help you.  He knows you better than you know yourself and He is here with you.  Take refuge in the Lord.  Trust Jesus.  Let Jesus have your hand and He will walk with you through the difficulties you face.  Trust in the Lord for He will never fail you. 

09/14               Mark 6:50

They were all terrified when they saw him. But Jesus spoke to them at once. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Take courage! I am here!”

AFRAID

We do not have to be afraid.  The Lord is in control.  Are you overrun by the ugly side of life?  Do not be afraid-keep moving for the Lord is with you.  Are you dealing with a lifetime of hurt?  Give it to Jesus.  Spend time with Jesus and you will physically experience His presence and His courage.  Do not be afraid because Jesus Christ is here with us. 

09/13               Psalm 27:1

The LORD is my light and my salvation— so why should I be afraid? The LORD is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?

CONFIDENT

Whatever happens today I am confident in the Lord.  He is here with me.  He is involved in my life.  I can live this day knowing that the Lord cares for me in a special and complete way-I belong to Him and He belongs to me.  Jesus is Lord.  Praise the name of the Lord.

09/12               1 Peter 5:6-7

6 So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. 7 Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

CARES

The Lord Jesus cares about you.  Whatever is happening in your life, good or bad, the Lord is intensely interested in you.  Worried talk with the Lord.  Fearful talk with the Lord.  Jesus will help you to deal with the reality of your life.    

09/11               Matthew 6:34

“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.

LIVE

Live your life with confidence.  The Lord knows what is happening in your life.  He will not desert you.  Jesus will see you through. 

09/10               Joshua 1:9

This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

ALWAYS

The Lord is always with you.  Where ever you go whatever you do Jesus is with you.  Do not fear for the Lord is with you. 

09/09               Psalm 23:4

Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.

ROD

The rod will guide me and when I wobble off course you will use it to bring me back on course.  When I am in danger you will grab me by the crook and save me.  Your rod is a rod of discipline and of comfort and I am grateful to you Lord.  Thank you Lord for your constant presence in my life.  Praise the Lord.
