02/27               Proverbs 4:5-9

5 Get wisdom; develop good judgment. Don’t forget my words or turn away from them.  6Don’t turn your back on wisdom, for she will protect you. Love her, and she will guard you. 7 Getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do! And whatever else you do, develop good judgment. 8 If you prize wisdom, she will make you great. Embrace her, and she will honor you. 9 She will place a lovely wreath on your head; she will present you with a beautiful crown.” 

DAILY

The challenge for most of us is how daily the Christian walk is.  It happens every day.  We can’t live two days at once.  Once we live it it’s over.  Claim God’s wisdom for your life today.  Now is when you need it.  Remember His lessons.  Do the next right thing.  Jesus is Lord.

02/26               Proverbs 3:13-18

13 Joyful is the person who finds wisdom, the one who gains understanding.  14For wisdom is more profitable than silver, and her wages are better than gold. 15 Wisdom is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. 16 She offers you long life in her right hand, and riches and honor in her left. 17She will guide you down delightful paths; all her ways are satisfying. 18 Wisdom is a tree of life to those who embrace her; happy are those who hold her tightly. 

JOYFUL
We want to lead joyful lives.  To do that we have to connect with the Lord and seek His wisdom.  When we do that He graciously gives us the wisdom we need for living.

02/25               Proverbs 2:6

6 For the LORD grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. 

LISTEN

The Lord gave us two ears and one mouth.  We need to listen much more than we talk.  Listen to the Lord and He will guide your life.

02/24               Proverbs 1:7

7 Fear of the LORD is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline. 

ETERNAL

We belong to loving eternal Father.  We are finite and it is impossible for us to understand or comprehend the divine eternal God without His help.  He knows the wisdom we need and will gladly give that wisdom to us if we but ask.  He knows when we need discipline and He will administer that.  Therefore, we the finite are in absolute awe and amazement at the Infinite God’s love and concern for us.  He is Lord.

02/23               Psalm 90:12

12 Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom. 

QUICK

Life happens quick and then it is over.  Learn to live in the now because that is in fact the only place we can live.  Don’t let what you didn’t or did do control what you are going to do.  Life today.  Rejoice today.  Jesus loves you.

13 “But true wisdom and power are found in God; counsel and understanding are his. 

WISE

If we need to be wise we simply have to ask the Lord.  Seek His counsel and guidance to know the right things to do today.

02/21               Luke 11:9-13

9 “And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.  11 “You fathers—if your children ask for a fish, do you give them a snake instead?  12 Or if they ask for an egg, do you give them a scorpion? Of course not! 13 So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.” 

FOCUS

We are called to focus on our spiritual life and walk.  This requires persistence.  Sometimes it’s a necessary journey for us to persist so that we can learn what the Lord has for us.  We learn slowly and we want quickly.  Slow down.  Let the Lord show you the way.  Give Him your wants and take what He gives as your needs.  Know the Lord for Jesus loves you.

02/20          Colossians 3:16-19

16 Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. 17 And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father. 18 Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting for those who belong to the Lord. 19Husbands, love your wives and never treat them harshly. 

LISTEN

Listen to the Lord as you spend time with Him reading your Bible, praying and meditating on Jesus.  The key is time.  It takes time to grow.  It takes time to study.  It takes focus to give the Lord time to build your spiritual life and equip you in your spiritual walk.

02/19          John 14:13-16

13 You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father.  14 Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!  15 “If you love me, obey my commandments.  16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. 

ASK

The Lord says to ask.  Ask!  Keep asking until you get what you ask for or change.  The key is that you are willing to focus on the Lord and stay with it until you get your answer.  ASK.

02/18          Psalm 107:13-16

13 “ LORD, help!” they cried in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress.  14 He led them from the darkness and deepest gloom; he snapped their chains. 15 Let them praise the LORD for his great love and for the wonderful things he has done for them.  16 For he broke down their prison gates of bronze; he cut apart their bars of iron. 

HELP

This is an effective prayer.  The Lord listens to us.  Sometimes things happen so quick and we are in desperate straits that all we can do is cry out Lord help.
