Fear Of The Lord Means Hating Evil

  1. Fear Of The Lord Means Hating Evil

Proverbs 8:13 — “The fear of the LORD is to hate evil.”

Proverbs 16:6 — “By the fear of the LORD one keeps away from evil.”

Romans 12:9 — “Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good.”

Holy fear changes our relationship with sin. A believer who fears God cannot comfortably love what crucified Christ. The closer we walk with Jesus, the more sensitive we become toward compromise. Reverence creates separation from darkness and awakens spiritual discernment.

• Fear exposes hidden compromise.
• Reverence produces moral clarity.
• Holy fear strengthens purity.

What this means:
• Christians cannot normalize wickedness.
• God calls believers to holiness.
• Conviction is a gift from God.
• Fear guards the soul from spiritual decay.

Daily walk:
• Remove influences that feed sinful desires.
• Pray for discernment before choices.
• Practice immediate repentance.
