23.       Love That Defends

Psalm 18:2
“The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”

God’s love protects. He is not only Savior—He is defender. His love stands between you and what would destroy you.

This defense is both seen and unseen. There are battles you never know because God has already stood in your place. His love is a fortress around your life.

  • Jesus is our defender and refuge.
  • God’s love shields us from harm.
  • His protection is constant and sure.

How to put this to work in my daily walk
Run to God in times of fear. Make Him your refuge instead of relying on yourself.

How can I grow in my love for God
Trust Him as your protector. Dependence strengthens love.

Prayer
Father, thank You for being my refuge. You stand as my defense in every situation. Help me trust You fully.

Jesus, be my shield and strength. Let me rest in Your protection and not live in fear.
