22.       Love That Is Gentle

Matthew 11:28–29
“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

God’s love is not harsh—it is gentle. He does not crush the weary; He invites them to rest. His strength is clothed in humility, and His authority is expressed in kindness.

Jesus reveals the heart of God. He does not drive you; He leads you. His love lifts burdens rather than adding to them. In Him, the soul finds rest.

  • Jesus is gentle toward the weary.
  • God’s love brings rest, not pressure.
  • His kindness leads us to Him.

How to put this to work in my daily walk
Come to Jesus with your burdens. Stop carrying what He has invited you to release.

How can I grow in my love for God
Receive His gentleness. As you experience His kindness, your love will deepen.

Prayer
Father, thank You for Your gentle love. You do not overwhelm me, but welcome me. Help me rest in You.

Jesus, teach me to come to You with everything. Let me find rest for my soul in Your presence.
