04/16               TAKE UP THE ARMOR OF GOD

“Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.” (Ephesians 6:11)
Self-denial does not occur on neutral ground. We face spiritual opposition. God provides armor—not our strength, but His—to stand firm. To follow Jesus, we must resist the enemy by depending on the equipment God supplies.

  • The battle is spiritual, not fleshly.
  • God equips His disciples with His strength.
  • Standing firm requires full armor, not partial.

Poem – Clothed for Battle
Your armor covers me,
piece by piece,
strengthening my heart
for the fight.

Truth guards my steps,
faith shields my soul,
and salvation crowns
my mind.

In Your strength alone,
I stand firm,
held steady
in Your victory.

Prayer
Lord, clothe me today in Your armor. Strengthen me to stand firm against the enemy. Let truth, righteousness, and faith guard my walk as I follow Christ.
