09/05               1 John 4:17

17 And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world.

WITH

The Lord Jesus is with us and we are with the Lord God.  We belong to Him and He belongs to us.  We are part of His family.  We can also face Him because Jesus blood cleanses us from all sin and the Father sees us thru Jesus and His completer work.  Praise the Lord because He is our all access Father. 

09/04               2 Timothy 1:7

For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. 8 So never be ashamed to tell others about our Lord. And don’t be ashamed of me, either, even though I’m in prison for him. With the strength God gives you, be ready to suffer with me for the sake of the Good News. 9 For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus.

WORLD

Do not let the world define you.  Forget its abuse of you.  Accept what Jesus gives you-His power, His love, His self-discipline and be encouraged as you live a holy life.  Jesus loves you because He chose to love you not because of the things you do. 

09/03               John 14:27

“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.

DON’T

Don’t be troubled or afraid.  The Lord gives us peace of mind and a quiet heart if we trust Him.  Trust the Lord and He will revolutionize your life to a life of confidence and assurance. 

09/02               Philippians 4:4-7

Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice! 5 Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon. 6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

REJOICE

Rejoice and pray for the Lord will be here before you know it.  His peace will surround you and guard your heart and mind as you live for Him.  Rejoice and be grateful for you are on the Lord’s mind.  The Lord cares for you.   

09/01               Psalm 56:1

O God, have mercy on me, for people are hounding me. My foes attack me all day long. 2 I am constantly hounded by those who slander me, and many are boldly attacking me. 3 But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you. 4 I praise God for what he has promised. I trust in God, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do to me?

MERCY

Do not fear.  Life is hard but the Lord’s mercy is great and He has not forgotten you.  He is with you.  You can trust Jesus. 

08/31               Ephesians 4:15 

Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. 16 He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love. 

JESUS

He makes our life fit into the spiritual life.  He equips us to grow and mature.  In Jesus we find the power and might of the Living Lord resident and available for our life.  Jesus is the reason we can live the life we live and He is the focus of our life because He is Lord. 

08/30               Ephesians 4:13-14

This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ. 14 Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. 

CAREFUL

We live under the control of Jesus.  We are careful who we listen to and discern the truth of what they say therefore we are overcomers and lead mature lives in Jesus.  Praise the Lord and love the brethren. 

08/29               Ephesians 4:11-12 

Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. 12 Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. 

YOU

You are a member of the body of Christ.  The people you go to church with are there to build up the body and you are there to build up the body.  Study your Bible and pray.  Listen to the Word preached.  Participate in the daily activities of the church.  You will grow. 

08/28               Ephesians 4:7-10 

However, he has given each one of us a special gift through the generosity of Christ. 8 That is why the Scriptures say, “When he ascended to the heights, he led a crowd of captives and gave gifts to his people.”  9 Notice that it says “he ascended.” This clearly means that Christ also descended to our lowly world.  10 And the same one who descended is the one who ascended higher than all the heavens, so that he might fill the entire universe with himself. 

FILLED

We are filled with the Spirit of Christ.  He is here with us.  He is with the Father.  Jesus is alive.  You can count on Him.  Spend time with Him today. 

08/27               Ephesians 4:5-6 

There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all, in all, and living through all. 

HERE

The Lord is here with us.  He is not a God far away and aloof for He is present.  He knows all about you and He is involved in everything you do.  Jesus, Jesus, Jesus the sweetest name I know.  He is God’s everything.
