OCT. 9 – Marriage Honored

Hebrews 13:4  Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.

Explanation: Marriage is a covenant, not a contract. It is sacred because it mirrors Christ’s union with the church. Purity guards the marriage bed, and faithfulness glorifies God. To dishonor marriage is to despise God’s design; to honor it is to proclaim His covenant love.

Marriage reflects the love of Christ.
Purity protects intimacy.
God defends the holiness of covenant.

Poem — “Covenant Honor”
Marriage is holy in God’s eyes.
Faithfulness guards its joy.
Purity adorns the covenant.
Intimacy reflects Christ’s love.
Holiness blesses the union.

The culture mocks what God made sacred.
Contracts replace covenant faith.
But God calls His people higher.
The Spirit empowers faithfulness.
The cross redeems broken vows.

Honor given to marriage honors God.
Faithfulness testifies to Christ’s love.
Purity preaches louder than words.
Holiness shines in covenant homes.
God is glorified when vows endure.

Prayer: Lord, teach me to honor marriage. Protect my heart from compromise. Keep me faithful in body and spirit.
Father, let my relationships reflect Your covenant love. May marriage be a testimony of Christ and His church. Amen.
