OCT. 8 – Your Body a Temple

1 Corinthians 6:19–20  Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

Explanation: The believer’s body is not disposable—it is sacred. The Holy Spirit makes His home in us. We do not belong to ourselves but to Christ who bought us with His blood. Therefore purity is not restriction but worship. Our choices with our bodies either honor or dishonor the Lord.

The Spirit dwells where purity is pursued.
The cross proves we are not our own.
Holiness is worship in daily life.

Poem — “Holy Ground”
The body is holy ground for God.
The Spirit dwells within His people.
Purity protects Christ’s temple.
Holiness honors His presence.
Obedience becomes worship.

Boundaries safeguard what God has claimed.
Temptation flees where Christ reigns.
Weakness yields to His strength.
Choices testify to His ownership.
Freedom is found in holiness.

Lives display Christ’s worth.
Bodies become instruments of grace.
Daily decisions preach His gospel.
Holiness glorifies the Savior.
The temple belongs to God alone.

Prayer: Lord, thank You that I am not my own but Yours. Cleanse me where I have failed and strengthen me to walk in purity.
Father, let my body be holy ground. May my choices honor Christ who dwells in me. Amen.
