Ephesians 4:32 — Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
Explanation: Kindness flows from forgiveness. Compassion feels another’s pain, and forgiveness releases their debt. We forgive because God forgave us in Christ. To be tenderhearted is to live with the softness of mercy, not the hardness of resentment.
Forgiveness grows out of mercy received.
Compassion feels before acting.
Christ’s forgiveness is both pattern and power.
Poem — “Tender Hearts”
Forgiveness opens the door to kindness.
Compassion softens hard hearts.
Gentleness stops anger’s cycle.
Mercy rebuilds broken trust.
Christ’s love flows through us.
The heart that remembers grace forgives.
The soul that knows pardon grants it.
The life touched by Christ touches others.
The forgiven become forgivers.
The pardoned become merciful.
Kindness is born at the cross.
Compassion mirrors Calvary.
Forgiveness preaches the gospel.
Mercy displays Christ to the world.
Love fulfills God’s law.
Prayer: Lord, help me forgive as You forgave me. Keep me tender and free from bitterness. Make compassion my way of life.
Father, let kindness mark my character. May my forgiveness be a window to Christ’s mercy. Amen.
