Today's Good News

May 31           John 3:30

“He must increase, but I must decrease.”

Four Points:

  1. True Greatness Is in Christ Alone – Our role is to elevate Jesus, not ourselves.
  2. Humility Makes Room for Glory – As we shrink in self-focus, God’s presence becomes clearer.
  3. Life’s Aim: Exalt Christ – All our gifts, influence, and labor should point to Him.
  4. Growth Looks Like Surrender – We grow by giving ourselves up to His purpose.

He Must Increase
The stage is Yours, the light is Yours,
I step aside and close my doors.
I do not need to be well known,
I only want Your name be shown.
More of You, and less of me.

Your greatness shines in humble ways,
In quiet acts, in unseen days.
You lift the low, You draw the weak,
You touch the ones the proud won’t seek.
Let me become the servant low.

Decrease my pride, my urge to lead,
Let Christ be all I truly need.
Strip me of praise that clouds my sight,
Till all I want is You, my Light.
Let You be seen in all I do.

The world fades out, the King remains,
My joy is found in holy gains.
To lose myself, and find Your name,
To live no more for fleeting fame.
Jesus must rise, and I bow down.
