03/11 Matthew 5:14-16
You are the light of the world — like a city on a mountain, glowing in the night for all to see. 15 Don’t hide your light under a basket! Instead, put it on a stand and let it shine for all. 16 In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.
LIGHT
There is nothing more useful than salt and light. (Ancient Roman saying) Light is a symbol of radiance, of openness, of joy compatible with the BE ATTITUDES. A Christian commitment is never secret-the world will know. If we follow Jesus and serve as He directs we will reflect Jesus in us to everyone we meet. We point the way to Christ. We follow Jesus and are a lighthouse that equips people to navigate from evil to righteousness. Let the Lord Jesus shine through you.

Clay Corvin is currently a Bible Teacher and occasional preacher at Bethel Community Baptist Church in New Orleans. He is the retired VP Business and Professor of Admin at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary after completing 38 years as their Business Administrator. He was the pastor at the Brantley Baptist Center for twenty-five years. He is married to Carol Corvin and the father of three children and has three grandchildren.
