MAR 18 – PSALM 24:1-4

03/18       Psalm 24:1-4

1 The earth is the LORD ’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him. 2 For he laid the earth’s foundation on the seas and built it on the ocean depths. 3 Who may climb the mountain of the LORD ? Who may stand in his holy place? 4 Only those whose hands and hearts are pure, who do not worship idols and never tell lies.

WHO

How foolish it is to devote so much of our lives to the acquisition of things, when all things truly belong to the Lord. We are but caretakers of what the Lord has made, and it has been given us for everyone’s pleasure. Wise use of our resources and preservation of all creation is the responsibility of all humankind. We have been given many precious gifts, but they are only ours for a while. In time, all things return to the Lord.
