“The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”
— Exodus 14:14 (NKJV)
5 Points:
- God is our defender in battles we cannot win alone.
- Peace comes from trusting His power over our problems.
- Our part is often to stand still and believe, not strive.
- God fights against the forces that seek to destroy us.
- Trusting Him frees us from fear-driven reactions.
When I Cannot Fight
The battle rises before me, heavy and loud.
I tighten my fists but find no strength.
You stand before the storm, unshaken.
You call me to stillness, not to panic.
You promise to fight when I cannot.
I see the waves claw at the shore.
I hear the cries of doubt and fear.
But you build a wall of your presence.
You hem me in with your strong arms.
You calm the war inside my chest.
My voice falls silent in the wind.
No words can win the battle now.
But your voice splits the darkness apart.
You command the shadows to flee.
You write peace across the skies.
I stand on the trembling earth.
Yet, you anchor my heart with your Word.
The ground shakes, but you do not.
The world roars, but you whisper,
“Be still, I will fight for you.”
I breathe again in the stillness.
I find hope in your mighty hands.
Victory blooms like morning light.
You fought when I could not move.
You won what I could not earn.
