June 30: He Who Began a Good Work Will Finish It

“Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
— Philippians 1:6 (NKJV)

5 Points:

  1. God finishes what He starts in us.
  2. Our growth is His ongoing work, not ours alone.
  3. Confidence comes from trusting His faithfulness.
  4. The process of growth is gradual but guaranteed.
  5. Christ’s return will complete every good work fully.

The Work You Finish

You began the song before I heard.
You planted the seed before I saw.
You stirred the river before I drank.
You wrote the journey before I rose.
You marked the ending with your grace.

I forget the slow unfolding work.
I panic at the half-built walls.
But you smile at my impatience.
You see the garden beneath the dust.
You see the city beneath the rubble.

The work is yours, not mine to save.
The harvest is yours, not mine to claim.
You breathe life into silent fields.
You build beauty in unseen places.
You finish every brushstroke of love.

When I doubt the growing way,
When I tire of broken dreams,
You pull me back to your promise.
You hold my trembling hands.
You whisper, “I will complete this.”

Today I rest in your building hands.
Today I trust your endless work.
You are the author of my story.
You are the builder of my soul.
You are the finisher of all good things.

Daily Prayer:
“Father, thank you that you will complete the good work you began in me. I trust you.”
