June 3: God’s Word Lights the Way

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
— Psalm 119:105 (NKJV)

5 Points:

  1. God’s Word brings clarity in the darkness.
  2. It lights each step, not always the whole road.
  3. The Scriptures are a present and active guide.
  4. His Word removes confusion and fear.
  5. Walking in God’s Word leads to wisdom and peace.

The Lamp in My Hands

The road folds under the night sky
my steps are unsure and slow
but the lamp you place in my hands
throws a circle of light ahead
enough for the next small step

The wind howls in broken trees
but your Word hums in my heart
a rhythm stronger than the night
a promise brighter than the storm
a flame that will not fall

I lift the lamp higher to see
and your mercy writes itself in the dust
every verse is a stone of hope
every word is a river of life
and I remember to breathe

The dark still stretches wide
but I walk through it with your fire
my hands steady against the cold
my feet warmed by your light
each step a song of trust

Morning is still far away
but your lamp shines in me
and when my eyes grow weary
I lean on the lamp of your truth
and find that you are enough
