June 23: The Lord Establishes Our Steps

Scripture:
“A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.”
— Proverbs 16:9 (NKJV)

5 Points:

  1. Human planning is natural, but God’s direction is necessary.
  2. God’s sovereignty shapes the final outcome.
  3. Trusting His direction brings freedom from fear.
  4. His plans often unfold differently but better than ours.
  5. Surrendered hearts walk with peaceful confidence.

Poem: Directed by His Hand

I write lists in the morning light.
I map roads across empty pages.
But you hold the ink and the sky.
You measure the hours and miles.
You direct the ways I cannot see.

Plans blossom like spring flowers.
Dreams stack like towers in my mind.
But you breathe across the blueprints.
You shift the bricks with kindness.
You raise the walls of your will.

I step forward into your leading.
I lean into the hand unseen.
You guide the heel and the heart.
You catch the slipping foot.
You build the road beneath my stride.

Not every plan will come to pass.
Not every dream will bear its weight.
But every step in your way matters.
Every mile in your name shines.
Every move by your hand stands sure.

Today I plan but surrender still.
Today I dream but trust your way.
You know the ending from the start.
You are the builder of my road.
You are the keeper of my steps.

Daily Prayer:
“Lord, direct my steps today and let all my plans rest in Your hands.”
