June 1: God Directs Our Paths

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”
— Proverbs 3:5–6 (NKJV)

5 Points:

  1. Trusting God is the foundation for direction.
  2. Leaning on our understanding leads to wandering.
  3. Acknowledging God invites His leadership.
  4. God’s paths are safer and better than ours.
  5. True faith steps forward before seeing the full way.

The Road I Cannot See

I step forward though the morning is grey
my heart beats quietly in the mist
your voice steadies my hands
you speak before I ask
the path grows wider with each breath

Clouds stretch across the open field
I wonder if I walk too slow
but your presence covers my questions
each blade of grass bends toward your light
even my silence is enough

The stones shift under my feet
some are sharp, some are smooth
I remember you made the ground
you teach me how to tread gently
you teach me how to rise

I see no signs, no maps
only the sound of water ahead
you tell me the river knows your name
and so I step toward its song
without needing to understand

The sun leans against the hills
evening folds its quiet arms around me
I find myself standing where you led
though I never knew the way
your hand held my every breath
