July 7: Nothing Can Separate Us

“For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
— Romans 8:38–39 (NKJV)

5 Points:

  1. No force in creation can sever God’s love for us.
  2. Death and life both bow to His eternal embrace.
  3. Fear of the unknown is defeated by His faithfulness.
  4. Christ anchors our belonging to God permanently.
  5. Nothing today or tomorrow changes His love.

Poem: Held Through It All

The river roars against the bridge.
The skies crack open wide and deep.
Still your love holds tighter than stone.
Still your arms gather the broken fields.
Still your voice sings above the storm.

The heights cannot lift me from you.
The depths cannot bury me beyond your reach.
The powers of earth cannot break your bond.
The fears of tomorrow cannot dim your light.
The past cannot tear apart your grace.

When death stands shouting at my gate,
When life twists with heavy hours,
You stay beside the trembling walls.
You press hope into shaking hands.
You call me beloved without pause.

The world shifts its endless sands.
The days rise fierce and fall tired.
Still your river of love runs sure.
Still your banner flies over my soul.
Still your promise weaves through time.

Today I breathe under your shield.
Today I stand in your endless arms.
You are the keeper of my quiet heart.
You are the anchor of my wandering feet.
You are the forever that holds me safe.
