July 5: The Name of the Lord is a Strong Tower

“The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.”
— Proverbs 18:10 (NKJV)

5 Points:

  1. God’s very name is our refuge and defense.
  2. Running to Him brings real safety, not illusion.
  3. His protection is strong enough for every need.
  4. Trusting in His name strengthens our courage.
  5. Our safety is not in ourselves, but in Him.

Poem: Tower of Safety

The walls of man crumble like dust.
The streets crack under restless feet.
But your tower stands against the dark.
Your name shines above the storms.
Your arms build a fortress of light.

I run when the fear claws deep.
I run when the sky splits wide.
You meet me with open gates.
You lift my breath with holy wind.
You bind my wounds with your voice.

The night may throw its stones.
The shadows may scrape and claw.
But your strong walls do not break.
Your gates do not swing apart.
Your name holds me fast and sure.

I build no shelter of my own.
I hide no hope in passing winds.
Your tower is the song I sing.
Your walls are the arms I trust.
Your strength is the roof above me.

Today I run to your strong name.
Today I lift my fears to your sky.
You are the tower that cannot fall.
You are the shield that will not break.
You are the keeper of my soul.
