July 27: Our Life is Hidden With Christ

“For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.”
— Colossians 3:3 (NKJV)

5 Points:

  1. Our true identity is safe in Christ.
  2. What is hidden is also protected and treasured.
  3. Being in Christ means evil cannot ultimately touch us.
  4. God’s keeping work is deeper than outward circumstances.
  5. Our life is more secure than anything seen with eyes.

Poem: Hidden in His Heart

The waves may crash on shallow ground.
The winds may howl against thin walls.
But your hand tucks my name in light.
You hide my breath behind your own.
You nest my soul inside your chest.

The fires rise in the open streets.
The stones fly from broken hands.
But your arms gather my hidden place.
You fold my days into your robe.
You carve my hope into your side.

The crowds forget the ones they fear.
The voices drown the quiet songs.
But your voice hums inside the storms.
Your hands shield the silent dreams.
Your breath guards the buried prayers.

The old world shakes its crumbling gates.
The proud race down the broken lanes.
But you hold the hidden ones with grace.
You raise the unseen with your strength.
You sing the forgotten into crowns.

Today I live in the hollow of your hand.
Today I rest under your endless breath.
You are the keeper of my secret hopes.
You are the shield against the crumbling world.
You are the heart where my life hides.
