AUGUST 21 – JESUS

08/21 John 5:25
“And I assure you that the time is coming, in fact it is here, when the dead will hear my voice — the voice of the Son of God. And those who listen will live. 26 The Father has life in himself, and he has granted his Son to have life in himself.
JESUS
When we know Jesus He knows us. He is able to give us life and to shepherd us through each day. Praise the Lord. I am grateful for His love and watch care.

AUGUST 20 – NOW

08/20 John 5:24
“I assure you, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life.
NOW
We are members of God’s family and as such have access to Him in Christ. In Christ we have everything we need for living. We are alive in Jesus and He is in us. Talk with Him about your needs and your life. He is waiting to hear from you.

AUGUST 19 – LIFE

08/19 John 5:20-23
For the Father loves the Son and tells him everything he is doing, and the Son will do far greater things than healing this man. You will be astonished at what he does. 21 He will even raise from the dead anyone he wants to, just as the Father does. 22 And the Father leaves all judgment to his Son, 23 so that everyone will honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. But if you refuse to honor the Son, then you are certainly not honoring the Father who sent him.
LIFE
We have real life in Jesus. It is a life like His-eternal. He has conquered sin and death for us and lives that we might have life. Jesus is Lord and He loves you.

AUGUST 18 – CARES

08/18 John 5:19
Jesus replied, “I assure you, the Son can do nothing by himself. He does only what he sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does, the Son also does.
CARES
Jesus is totally focused on the Father and the Father is totally focused on the Son and yet the Lord is totally focused on us. He calls us to follow His direction living our life in obedience and service. Serve the Lord with gladness. Jesus loves you.

AUGUST 17 – FATHER

08/17 John 5:16-18
So the Jewish leaders began harassing Jesus for breaking the Sabbath rules. 17 But Jesus replied, “My Father never stops working, so why should I?” 18 So the Jewish leaders tried all the more to kill him. In addition to disobeying the Sabbath rules, he had spoken of God as his Father, thereby making himself equal with God.
FATHER
The Father and the Son are one. Jesus is an equal part of the Holy Trinity-Father/Son/Spirit. We don’t understand that and we don’t have to because the Lord is here with us. He is alive and He lives to lead guide and direct us. Jesus loves you.

AUGUST 16 – JESUS

08/16 John 5:14-15
But afterward Jesus found him in the Temple and told him, “Now you are well; so stop sinning, or something even worse may happen to you.” 15 Then the man went to find the Jewish leaders and told them it was Jesus who had healed him.
JESUS
Hurting? Take it to Jesus. He is our Creator and Healer. Go to the Lord with everything you need. He will walk with you through your healing journey. Jesus loves you.

AUGUST 15 – HEALED

08/15 John 5:10
So the Jewish leaders objected. They said to the man who was cured, “You can’t work on the Sabbath! It’s illegal to carry that sleeping mat!” 11 He replied, “The man who healed me said to me, ‘Pick up your sleeping mat and walk.'” 12 “Who said such a thing as that?” they demanded. 13 The man didn’t know, for Jesus had disappeared into the crowd.
HEALED
Religious leaders were interested in their rules. The Lord is interested in people. Jesus loves you and is interested in every detail of your life and being. Trust the Lord. Love the Lord. Surrender your heart to Him.

AUGUST 14 – QUESTION

08/14 John 5:7-9
“I can’t, sir,” the sick man said, “for I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred up. While I am trying to get there, someone else always gets in ahead of me.” 8 Jesus told him, “Stand up, pick up your sleeping mat, and walk!” 9 Instantly, the man was healed! He rolled up the mat and began walking! But this miracle happened on the Sabbath day.
QUESTION
Jesus wanted to know if the man wanted a miracle. He already knew the situation. He didn’t need the man’s excuses. He simply wanted to know if the man wanted to be healed. Jesus responded with healing in spite of the man’s alibi. Don’t trip your self up simply listen to Jesus and respond to what He asks. Jesus is Lord, He is here and we need Him in our heart.

AUGUST 13 – WOULD YOU LIKE TO GET WELL?

08/13 John 5:1-6
Afterward Jesus returned to Jerusalem for one of the Jewish holy days. 2 Inside the city, near the Sheep Gate, was the pool of Bethesda, with five covered porches. 3 Crowds of sick people — blind, lame, or paralyzed — lay on the porches. 4 * [No text] 5 One of the men lying there had been sick for thirty-eight years. 6 When Jesus saw him and knew how long he had been ill, he asked him, “Would you like to get well?”
WOULD YOU LIKE TO GET WELL?
Jesus comes to us with the offer of life. His word to us is would you like to get well? He isn’t surprised by our sin, He isn’t fooled by our ego because Jesus knows all about us. His Word to you today is would you like to get well? Bend your knee to Him in service and obedience. Christ will heal you.

AUGUST 12 – MIRACLE

08/12 John 4:51-54
While he was on his way, some of his servants met him with the news that his son was alive and well. 52 He asked them when the boy had begun to feel better, and they replied, “Yesterday afternoon at one o’clock his fever suddenly disappeared!” 53 Then the father realized it was the same time that Jesus had told him, “Your son will live.” And the officer and his entire household believed in Jesus. 54 This was Jesus’ second miraculous sign in Galilee after coming from Judea.
MIRACLE
Jesus is active in our life. Too often He works a miracle in our life and we miss it. Salvation is one of those miracles. When you surrendered your life to Jesus His saving grace was a miracle. You are a new creature in Christ. Praise the Lord. Thank you for your miracle working power in our ordinary lives.
