FEBRUARY 12 – ALWAYS

02/12          James 1:17

17Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.

ALWAYS

God is always God.  He is complete, total, unchanging and eternal.  He knows everything.  He loves in a way that is totally beyond our ability to comprehend and yet we can know His love fully in Jesus Christ.  Christ is our Savior, our beloved, and He loves you and me.  Jesus is love.  He loves us.

FEBRUARY 11 – CAREFUL

02/11          Judges 9:8-11

8 Once upon a time the trees decided to choose a king. First they said to the olive tree, ‘Be our king!’ 9 But the olive tree refused, saying, ‘Should I quit producing the olive oil that blesses both God and people, just to wave back and forth over the trees?’ 10 “Then they said to the fig tree, ‘You be our king!’ 11 But the fig tree also refused, saying, ‘Should I quit producing my sweet fruit just to wave back and forth over the trees?’ 12 “Then they said to the grapevine, ‘You be our king!’ 13 But the grapevine also refused, saying, ‘Should I quit producing the wine that cheers both God and people, just to wave back and forth over the trees?’ 14 “Then all the trees finally turned to the thorn bush and said, ‘Come, you be our king!’ 15 And the thorn bush replied to the trees, ‘If you truly want to make me your king, come and take shelter in my shade. If not, let fire come out from me and devour the cedars of Lebanon.’”

CAREFUL

It’s important to listen to what is happening.  Are you ready to do what must be done?  We are totally unlike God.  His ways are not our ways.  We are to choose carefully and choose with the Lord’s guidance.  Don’t do anything rash.  Be patient and make sure you are listening to the Lord when you make those life changing decisions.

HOW

The Lord will teach you How to live.  He loves you and will give you the guidance and wisdom you will need for a Godly life.  Life is hard and we need good direction so that we might live a good life.

FEBRUARY 8 – FEAR

02/08          2 Timothy 1:7

7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.

FEAR

Fear is constantly seeking a foothold in our life.  Do not let it trick you.  When fear creeps in take it to the Father immediately.  Lord, help me your child.  Fear is grabbing my heart, and my soul and I know you can cast out fear.  Fear the Lord rebuke you.  Father give me power to live this moment, love to care for those around me and the self-discipline to immediately turn to you wnen fear shows up at my door.  Praise the Lord.

FEBRUARY 6 – MERCY

02/06          Hebrews 4:16

16 So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.

MERCY

We do not deserve forgiveness and yet it was so important to our Father, God, that we reserve forgiveness that He died for our sin and provided for us the forgiveness of our sin out of His wonderful grace.  He graced us with a new life, eternal life, life like His, simply for the asking- Father forgive me of my sin, come into my heart and save me.  Before we were ever born, His deep love provided the mercy we needed, and His grace provided the salvation we needed.  We have a wonderful Father whose mercy is deep and wide. Thank you, Lord.

FEBRUARY 5 – TWO

02/05          Romans 8:28

28And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

TWO

Two things that are required to lead a God centered life.  First, we must be saved.  We must be in a relationship with the Lord or very little will work out in our life.  Second, we are called to love the Lord.  That means He is first in our life, we spend time with Him and we are seeking to honor and glorify Him.  Once we deal with our relationship and fellowship in a positive way we will find that the Lord’s plan is always bringing us into those things from the Father that bring good to our life.

FEBRUARY 4 – PEACE

02/04          Philippians 4:6-7

6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

PEACE

I need peace and the Lord says He will give peace to us.  His presence brings peace and His guidance in our life will bring peace with it.  The Lord is gracious in our failures and always victorious in our forgiveness.  Trust in the Lord and He will guard our hearts against fear and unrest.  He is our peace.

FEBRUARY 3 – TRUST

02/03          Psalm 55:22

22 Give your burdens to the LORD, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.

TRUST

When we give our burdens to the Lord, then we trust Him to do those things that will stand against our hurt and pain.  We trust the Father to simply do what He says He will do-take care of us. The Lord is good and He will care for us.
