5/21 Isaiah 9:6
6 For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
JESUS
Foretold and forthtold. He came on a mission to bring you life. Have you met Jesus? You can. All you have to do is ask Him to forgive you of your sin, come into your life and give you new birth into the Kingdom of God. He will if you ask.
5/20 Psalm 119:165
165 Those who love your instructions have great peace and do not stumble.
FOLLOW
Do what the Lord says. Listen to His instructions and you will have peace and will not stumble. Follow Him in all that you do. Jesus is Lord.
5/19 2 Thessalonians 3:16
16 Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all.
GIFT
The Lord gifts us with His peace. When we seek Him and obey Him, He pours out His peace upon us.
5/18 Psalm 85:8
8 I listen carefully to what God the LORD is saying, for he speaks peace to his faithful people. But let them not return to their foolish ways. 9 Surely his salvation is near to those who fear him, so our land will be filled with his glory.
LISTEN
Listen to the Lord. He will guide you in the Kingdom way. Follow Him all of your days and do not return to your old foolish ways. Fear the Lord and His glory and peace will reside with you.
5/17 Psalm 37:37
37 Look at those who are honest and good, for a wonderful future awaits those who love peace.
EXAMPLE
Be a Godly example with your life. Be honest and good. When you are the future is always bright for the Lord blesses the future of those who love peace.
5/16 1 Peter 3:9-11
9 Don’t repay evil for evil. Don’t retaliate with insults when people insult you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God has called you to do, and he will grant you his blessing. 10 For the Scriptures say, “If you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies. 11 Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it.
BLESSING
Be a blessing. To those who mistreat you-bless them. To those who defeat you-bless them. Bless your family and your friends. Bless the immigrant. Be a blessing. You will discover that you yourself will be blessed. You be a blessing.
5/15 Matthew 10:34-36
34 “Don’t imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth! I came not to bring peace, but a sword. 35 ‘I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. 36 Your enemies will be right in your own household!’
IMAGINE
Imagine what it would be like for everyone to follow Jesus. Then think of what it is like if only you follow Jesus. Those you know who don’t follow Jesus will hound you to end. The Lost hate Christ. Love the Lord.
5/14 Psalm 34:14-15
14 Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it. 15 The eyes of the LORD watch over those who do right; his ears are open to their cries for help.
TURN
Turn is our response. We are to turn away from evil. We call out to the Father to give us His strength then we plant our feet and turn away from evil. It’s a 180 degree turn. We walking one-way and now we are walking in the paths of righteousness. Turn from evil and turn to doing good.
5/13 Romans 14:19
19 So then, let us aim for harmony in the church and try to build each other up.
CARE
We are to care for each other. We are to be encouragers. Our ministry is to people. We learn to care for people, truly care for others. This involves a high level of forgiveness and forgetfulness. Too many want to say they will forgive but they will never forget. Harmony is built by a loving, caring community of people who are sold out to Jesus Christ and striving to be obedient to Him. Love one another.
5/12 Romans 12:17-21
17Never pay back evil with more-evil. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable. 18 Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone. 19 Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, “I will take revenge; I will pay them back,” says the LORD. 20 Instead, “If your enemies are hungry, feed them. If they are thirsty, give them something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals of shame on their heads.” 21 Don’t let evil conquer you but conquer evil by doing good.
GOOD
We receive good from the Lord when we come into His family. He calls us to give good to everyone we meet. Humility calls us to care for others. Be kind do as the Lord instructs-love one another. That is a command.
