07/01 Colossians 3:1
1 Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand.
CHRIST
Lord help me to focus my life today on Jesus. I need to know your path. Speak to me as I listen to You. I know my Redeemer lives and I am grateful Lord. Praying for my family to day Father. We each need you. Come Lord Jesus.
06/30 Psalm 121:1-8
1 I look up to the mountains— does my help come from there? 2 My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth! 3 He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber. 4 Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps.
5 The LORD himself watches over you! The LORD stands beside you as your protective shade. 6 The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon at night. 7 The LORD keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. 8 The LORD keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.
HELP
Our Help comes from Jesus. His is our wisdom and gives us the mercy and grace that we need. Additionally, Jesus recognizes where we are and what we are doing. He knows us inside and out. He watches over us and is always there when we need help. Jesus is Lord.
06/29 Psalm 120:1-7
1 I took my troubles to the LORD ; I cried out to him, and he answered my prayer. 2 Rescue me, O LORD, from liars and from all deceitful people. 3 O deceptive tongue, what will God do to you? How will he increase your punishment?4 You will be pierced with sharp arrows and burned with glowing coals. 5 How I suffer in far-off Meshech. It pains me to live in distant Kedar. 6 I am tired of living among people who hate peace. 7 I search for peace; but when I speak of peace, they want war!
TROUBLES
Our Lord delivers us from evil and trains us to conquer our troubles. Everyone has trouble. Christ calls us to deal with today’s troubles in His strength. Don’t worry about tomorrow as today has enough trouble itself.
06/28 Colossians 2:20-23
20 You have died with Christ, and he has set you free from the spiritual powers of this world. So why do you keep on following the rules of the world, such as, 21 “Don’t handle! Don’t taste! Don’t touch!”? 22 Such rules are mere human teachings about things that deteriorate as we use them. 23These rules may seem wise because they require strong devotion, pious self-denial, and severe bodily discipline. But they provide no help in conquering a person’s evil desires.
POWER
The Lord rejoices in giving us His power. In Christ we have the power of God to withstand the assault of the evil one. We have been set free and we are no longer at the mercy of the World.
06/27 Colossians 2:17-19
17 For these rules are only shadows of the reality yet to come. And Christ himself is that reality. 18 Don’t let anyone condemn you by insisting on pious self-denial or the worship of angels, saying they have had visions about these things. Their sinful minds have made them proud, 19 and they are not connected to Christ, the head of the body. For he holds the whole body together with its joints and ligaments, and it grows as God nourishes it.
STAY
Begin with Jesus and stay with Jesus. He is the only One who can save us. He forgives us of our sin and brings us into the family of God. He is Lord and He saves us.
06/26 Colossians 2:16
16 So don’t let anyone condemn you for what you eat or drink, or for not celebrating certain holy days or new moon ceremonies or Sabbaths.
CHRIST
Food cannot save us. Activities of a religious nature can’t save us. We have this drive to fix ourselves and we can’t. Only Jesus saves. He is the perfect One. The Son of God. He provides the forgiveness for our sin that we so desperately need. Come to Jesus. He will forgive you of your sin and save you.
06/25 Colossians 2:15
15 In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.
SURPRISE
Evil thought it was his strategy to destroy mankind and Jesus at the same time. God used it as His strategy to save mankind and pay the price for their sin. Surprise, God won. Jesus saves us from our sin.
06/24 Colossians 2:14
14 He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross.
COMPLETE
Our forgiveness is complete in Christ. His righteousness is exactly what we need to come into the presence of the Father. Jesus is Lord and He forgives us completely and forever. Once we are saved we are kept by Christ Himself.
06/23 Colossians 2:11-13
11 When you came to Christ, you were “circumcised,” but not by a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual circumcision—the cutting away of your sinful nature. 12 For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead. 13 You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins.
FREE
The gift of forgiveness is free but not cheap. Christ died to pay the price for our sin. Now He is seated at the right hand of the Father interceding for us and at the same time is here with us. Lord forgive me of my sin. Come into my heart and save me. Bless you today. Be sure you have accepted Christ.
06/22 Colossians 2:10
10 So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.
HIGHEST
Jesus is number one. He is the highest authority. When we come to Jesus we are coming to God’s everything. We start with Jesus, stay with Jesus and we will be with Him in eternity. Jesus is everything we need for light and life.
