FEBRUARY 9 – BROKEN

02/09               Matthew 11:25-27

At that time Jesus prayed this prayer: “O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for hiding these things from those who think themselves wise and clever, and for revealing them to the childlike.  26 Yes, Father, it pleased you to do it this way!  27 “My Father has entrusted everything to me. No one truly knows the Son except the Father, and no one truly knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”

BROKEN

God uses broken people.  Believe in the Lord Jesus and He will bring you into a relationship with God.  Trust in the Lord and obey Him and He will save you.  Jesus brings us the wisdom of the Father.  Praise the Lord.

FEBRUARY 8 – CONDEMNED

02/08               Matthew 11:23-24

“And you people of Capernaum, will you be honored in heaven? No, you will go down to the place of the dead. For if the miracles I did for you had been done in wicked Sodom, it would still be here today. 24 I tell you, even Sodom will be better off on judgment day than you.”

CONDEMNED

The people of the hometown of Jesus, where most of His ministry took place, did not believe.  What a tragedy.  I assure you they are in Hell today.  What a tragedy.  Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.  Jesus is the only way to the Father.

FEBRUARY 7 – TRUTH

02/07               Matthew 11:20-22

Then Jesus began to denounce the towns where he had done so many of his miracles, because they hadn’t repented of their sins and turned to God. 21 “What sorrow awaits you, Korazin and Bethsaida! For if the miracles I did in you had been done in wicked Tyre and Sidon, their people would have repented of their sins long ago, clothing themselves in burlap and throwing ashes on their heads to show their remorse.  22 I tell you, Tyre and Sidon will be better off on judgment day than you.

TRUTH

There is a truth that God gives that isn’t decided by vote or feelings.  His Law, His statutes are unchangeable.  These people thought of the Law of God as more of a suggestion.  It isn’t.  Jesus is Lord.  Disrespecting Him, going against His is going against God.  There are consequences to our sin.  Repent.  Return to Jesus.  Let Him give you guidance for your life.

FEBRUARY 6 – WISDOM

02/06               Matthew 11:16-19

“To what can I compare this generation? It is like children playing a game in the public square. They complain to their friends, 17 ‘We played wedding songs, and you didn’t dance, so we played funeral songs, and you didn’t mourn.’ 18 For John didn’t spend his time eating and drinking, and you say, ‘He’s possessed by a demon.’ 19 The Son of Man, on the other hand, feasts and drinks, and you say, ‘He’s a glutton and a drunkard, and a friend of tax collectors and other sinners!’ But wisdom is shown to be right by its results.”

WISDOM

We seek for wisdom in many places and in many ways but the ONE way to pursue wisdom your entire life is to spend time with Jesus.  Jesus is Lord.  You and I have an opportunity for a relationship with the Father thru Jesus Christ.  Repent of your sin and go to Jesus.  Ask Him to forgive you of your sin.  He will call you to belief in Himself.  Do that and it will change your life.

FEBRUARY 05 – COME

02/05               Matthew 11:12-15

And from the time John the Baptist began preaching until now, the Kingdom of Heaven has been forcefully advancing, and violent people are attacking it.  13 For before John came, all the prophets and the law of Moses looked forward to this present time. 14 And if you are willing to accept what I say, he is Elijah, the one the prophets said would come.  15 Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand!

COME

We are called to come to Jesus.  Come.  Ask Him for forgiveness and new life.  He will do it.  He is Lord and He died on the Cross to pay the price of your sin.  Come.

FEBRUARY 04 – JESUS

02/04               Matthew 11:10-11

John is the man to whom the Scriptures refer when they say, ‘Look, I am sending my messenger ahead of you, and he will prepare your way before you.’  11 “I tell you the truth, of all who have ever lived, none is greater than John the Baptist. Yet even the least person in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than he is!

JESUS

Christ has come.  John the Baptist cried out His coming and calling us to prepare.  Now we are to accept Jesus.  He is Lord.

FEBRUARY 03 – PROPHET

02/03               Matthew 11:7-9

As John’s disciples were leaving, Jesus began talking about him to the crowds. “What kind of man did you go into the wilderness to see? Was he a weak reed, swayed by every breath of wind?  8 Or were you expecting to see a man dressed in expensive clothes? No, people with expensive clothes live in palaces.  9 Were you looking for a prophet? Yes, and he is more than a prophet.

PROPHET

John shared that the Messiah was coming, and we should get ready.  Jesus has come and we are called to repent and turn to Him.  He will forgive our sin and cleanse us from unrighteousness.  He is Lord and He loves you.

FEBRUARY 02 – JOHN

02/02               Matthew 11:2-6

John the Baptist, who was in prison, heard about all the things the Messiah was doing. So he sent his disciples to ask Jesus, 3“Are you the Messiah we’ve been expecting, or should we keep looking for someone else?” 4Jesus told them, “Go back to John and tell him what you have heard and seen— 5 the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised to life, and the Good News is being preached to the poor.  6 And tell him, ‘God blesses those who do not turn away because of me. ’”

JOHN

John the Baptist came preaching  about the coming Messiah and He has come.  The Lord God came to live among us and we knew Him not.  I implore you to know Jesus.  Ask Him to forgive you of your sin and come into your life.  He will!

FEBRUARY 01 – FOCUS

02/01               Matthew 11:1

When Jesus had finished giving these instructions to his twelve disciples, he went out to teach and preach in towns throughout the region.

FOCUS

JESUS focused on proclaiming the Good News.  Follow Him.  Share the Good News everywhere you go.  Christ is alive.  He loves you.

JANUARY 31 – AWARE

01/31               Matthew 10:40

“Anyone who receives you receives me, and anyone who receives me receives the Father who sent me.  41 If you receive a prophet as one who speaks for God, you will be given the same reward as a prophet. And if you receive righteous people because of their righteousness, you will be given a reward like theirs.  42 And if you give even a cup of cold water to one of the least of my followers, you will surely be rewarded.”

AWARE

BE aware that service is an important part of the daily Christian life.  The Lord has called each and everyone of us to service.  Serve Him whom you cannot see by serving those you can see.  You help where you can.  Do the best you can.  Follow Jesus.
