Blessing Of The Fear Of The Lord: Confidence

22. Blessing Of The Fear Of The Lord: Confidence

Proverbs 14:26 — “In the fear of the LORD there is strong confidence.”

Hebrews 13:6 — “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid.”

The world assumes fear destroys confidence, but Scripture teaches the opposite. When believers fear God properly, they stop fearing everything else improperly. Reverence frees the soul from slavery to human opinion and earthly threats. Christ becomes bigger than circumstances.

    • Reverence strengthens courage.
    • Fear of God removes fear of man.
    • Confidence grows through trust in Christ.

What this does in the life of a Christ follower:

    • Produces boldness in faith.
    • Strengthens witness for Christ.
    • Reduces fear of rejection.

    How to develop this:

    • Focus on God’s greatness daily.
    • Remember Christ’s promises.
    • Obey God even when costly.

    Prayer:

Lord Jesus, deliver me from the fear of man. Help me to stand boldly for truth and trust Your care. Let reverence for You strengthen my courage and steady my heart. Amen.
