JANUARY 18 – VICTORY

01/18          Psalm 3:1-8

1 O LORD, I have so many enemies; so many are against me. 2 So many are saying, “God will never rescue him!” Interlude 3 But you, O LORD, are a shield around me; you are my glory, the one who holds my head high. 4 I cried out to the LORD, and he answered me from his holy mountain. Interlude 5 I lay down and slept, yet I woke up in safety, for the LORD was watching over me. 6 I am not afraid of ten thousand enemies who surround me on every side. 7 Arise, O LORD ! Rescue me, my God! Slap all my enemies in the face! Shatter the teeth of the wicked! 8 Victory comes from you, O LORD . May you bless your people.

VICTORY

Victory comes from the Lord.  Stay tuned to Jesus for in Him you will find victory.  Praise the Lord as you face challenges and keep focused on Jesus.  He is our victory.

JANUARY 17 – HOPE

01/17          Genesis 8:1

1 But God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and livestock with him in the boat. He sent a wind to blow across the earth, and the floodwaters began to recede.

HOPE

Noah had hope in God.  That the Lord would do exactly as He said He would do and God did.  Today you know full well what the Lord is calling you to do and you are struggling with hope.  Hope in the Lord for He is faithful and righteous to do for you exactly as He said He would do.  The Lord said He would save you and He will and He will care for you every moment for the rest of eternity.

JANUARY 16 – FAITHFUL

01/16          Hebrews 3:5-8

5 Moses was certainly faithful in God’s house as a servant. His work was an illustration of the truths God would reveal later. 6 But Christ, as the Son, is in charge of God’s entire house. And we are God’s house, if we keep our courage and remain confident in our hope in Christ. 7 That is why the Holy Spirit says, “Today when you hear his voice, 8 don’t harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled, when they tested me in the wilderness.

FAITHFUL

Like Moses we are called to be faithful to the Lord God.  He gives us the confidence we need to be faithful to Him.  We live in an ungodly World.  Stay close to Jesus and He will constantly renew your faith in Him.

JANUARY 15 – FOREVER

01/15          Romans 8:38-39

38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

FOREVER
You are bound together in Christ in the family of God forever.  Do not fear Christ is with you.  Do not worry about tomorrow Christ is with you.  Jesus is with you-always-forever.

JANUARY 14 – FUTURE

01/14          Jeremiah 29:11-13

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. 12 In those days when you pray, I will listen. 13 If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.

FUTURE

We have a future in Jesus Christ.  He is life.  He is our life.  Filled with the Holy Spirit we confess with Peter that Jesus is the Christ-He is God.  Fully God, fully man Jesus offers eternal life to us-life like God’s.  He is our future.

JANUARY 13 – LIGHT

01/13          Isaiah 9:1-2

1 Nevertheless, that time of darkness and despair will not go on forever. The land of Zebulun and Naphtali will be humbled, but there will be a time in the future when Galilee of the Gentiles, which lies along the road that runs between the Jordan and the sea, will be filled with glory. 2 The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep darkness, a light will shine.

LIGHT

The Light of the World has come in Jesus.  He is God come to man.  Jesus would that no one be lost but it is a choice.  Choose Jesus.  He is the Light of the World.

JANUARY 12 – DEATH

01/12          Ecclesiastes 8:7-8

7 Indeed, how can people avoid what they don’t know is going to happen? 8 None of us can hold back our spirit from departing. None of us has the power to prevent the day of our death. There is no escaping that obligation, that dark battle. And in the face of death, wickedness will certainly not rescue the wicked.

DEATH

There is a day when we will pass from this life into the next.  We don’t know exactly what that will be like but Jesus said that we should be willing to do anything to avoid Hell.  How can we avoid Hell?  By accepting Jesus as Savior and asking Him to forgive you of your sin.  Once we believe in Him and trust Him to save us He says He will never leave us.  When we pass from this life to the next we will be with Him.

JANUARY 11 – NOTHING

01/11          Ecclesiastes 7:14

14 Enjoy prosperity while you can, but when hard times strike, realize that both come from God. Remember that nothing is certain in this life.

NOTHING

Nothing is certain in life except God’s love.  He loves you.  He is seeking you right this very moment.  He wants to have a relationship with you and then fellowship.  Jesus and Lord and He is calling you to Himself.

JANUARY 10 – FEAR

01/10          Proverbs 24:19-22

19 Don’t fret because of evildoers; don’t envy the wicked. 20 For evil people have no future; the light of the wicked will be snuffed out. 21 My child, fear the LORD and the king. Don’t associate with rebels, 22 for disaster will hit them suddenly. Who knows what punishment will come from the LORD and the king?

FEAR

Fear the Lord and serve Him.  Life is short.  Time is fleeting.  You do not know the day of your death.  Serve God and believe in Him and He will change your life so that you can always be with Him.  Jesus is Lord.

JANUARY 9 – SINNERS

01/09          Proverbs 23:17-18

17 Don’t envy sinners, but always continue to fear the LORD. 18 You will be rewarded for this; your hope will not be disappointed.

SINNERS

Sinners appear to have the upper hand with God but there is pay day some day and tragically it will be much sooner than a person thinks.  Life is short.  Death is permanent.  Turn to Jesus and ask Him to forgive you of your sin.  Trust in Jesus and your life will change forever.
