JANUARY 28 – FEAR

01/28               Joshua 1:9

9 This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

FEAR

Fear cripples us and cuts us off from our relationship with Jesus.  Give Him your fear and spend time with Jesus.  Let the Lord have your fear and you trust Him for the moment.  It will require positive affirmation on our part and amazingly evil will flee.

JANUARY 27 – FORGIVING

01/27               Mark 11:24

24 I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours. 25 But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too. ”

FORGIVING

The keys to the kingdom are found in forgiving others and gratitude for our life.  We are not responsible for the things that attack us but we are responsible for how we respond.  Jesus is Lord.  We are charged with permitting Him to be Lord of our life moment by moment.

JANUARY 26 – TRUST

01/26               Malachi 3:10

10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!

TRUST

Tithing is trusting.  If you trust God you will tithe.  If you don’t trust God you won’t tithe.  Do you trust Him?

JANUARY 25 – GRACE

01/25               John 8:36

36 So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.

GRACE

Relationship with the Jesus is a grace relationship.  He gives us what we need and cannot earn.  Follow Jesus.  He loves you.  Follow Him.

JANUARY 24 – CARES

01/24               John 3:36

36 And anyone who believes in God’s Son has eternal life. Anyone who doesn’t obey the Son will never experience eternal life but remains under God’s angry judgment.”

CARES

Jesus died to pay a price you cannot pay.  He cares for you.  His care for you is shown by His death on the cross and by His unceasing search for you.  Jesus loves you.  Eternal life is available to you.  Choose well.  Choose life.

JANUARY 23 – WANDER

01/23               Jeremiah 29:12-14

12 In those days when you pray, I will listen. 13 If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. 14 I will be found by you,” says the LORD . “I will end your captivity and restore your fortunes. I will gather you out of the nations where I sent you and will bring you home again to your own land.”

WANDER

This particular prophecy is dealing with Israel and God’s work in them.  But, in addition to the return of the Jews to Israel the Lord is talking about your life.  We wander from the Lord for a multitude of reasons but in fact because all have sinned and fall short of the glory of the Lord.  Therefore we need His guidance to find our way home, and to be committed to Him and to be serving Him.  Life is a journey and Jesus will guide us on that journey if we will submit to Him, ask His help and seek Him.

JANUARY 22 – WITH

01/22               Deuteronomy 31:8

8 Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.”

WITH

JESUS is with us.  He is with us always.  He is with us in failure and success.  Jesus is with us because He loves us and wants to be part of everything we do.  Ask Christ to guide you and He will.

JANUARY 21 – HEAR

01/21               2 Chronicles 7:14

14Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.

HEAR

The Lord delights in spending time with you.  Listen to Him.  Let Him guide you.  As He guides you, you will recognize your sin and be repulsed by it.  Cry out to Him Lord forgive me and He will.

JANUARY 20 – AGREE

01/20               1 John 1:9

9 But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.

AGREE

Confessing our sin is agreeing with God that we have done wrong.  He already knows this but we must recognize our sin and agree with God that what we have done is sin and then turn away from that sin.  Keep on top of your sin and you will constantly be growing in the Lord Jesus Christ.

JANUARY 19 – CHOICE

01/19               James 4:7

7 So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

CHOICE

We choose to sin.  Sinning is simple, straightforward and a choice.  We can choose not to sin.  We can’t do it in our own strength but the Lord God in His glorious strength rejoices when we permit Him to make us strong.  By the power of the Lord High God active in us we can indeed resist the devil and he will flee from us.
