05/25          Ephesians 5:18-19

18 Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit, 19 singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts. 

BE

Be focused on Jesus.  In everything you do ask Him to be involved and present with you.  Don’t try to live life by yourself.  Invite the Lord in, seek His wisdom, mercy and grace and be about the Lord’s business.  We belong to Him and He has a plan for our life.  Know the Lord Jesus and follow Him.  

05/24          Psalm 33:16

16 The best-equipped army cannot save a king, nor is great strength enough to save a warrior. 

ONLY

Only God, the Lord, can save us unto eternity.  He seeks to bring us into His family now and we will be with Him forever.  The Lord is our salvation and savior.  Jesus is the only way to the Father.  Jesus is Lord.  

05/23          Exodus 15:6

6 “Your right hand, O LORD, is glorious in power. Your right hand, O LORD, smashes the enemy. 

POWER

Our God is powerful and engaged in our life and our world.  Remember that God loves you and He is here for you.  Jesus is Lord of all things including our life.  God is in control.  

05/22          Proverbs 22:4

4 True humility and fear of the LORD lead to riches, honor, and long life. 

FAITH

We choose humility.  We put it on like a cloak.  But by faith we fear the Lord.  He is so wonderful and glorious, and we are so little and unknowing.  Yet the Lord came looking for me.  In true humility I will develop a deeper understanding of who the Lord is.  It will help me keep a healthy fear of the Lord therefore I will listen to Him and obey Him.  The Lord is God and I am not.  

05/21          2 Chronicles 15:7

7 But as for you, be strong and courageous, for your work will be rewarded.” 

GOING

Keep on going.  Don’t give up.  The Lord has a plan for your life.  Do it.  Do it now.  Don’t quit.  Keep on going.  

05/20          Numbers 6:24-26

24 ‘May the LORD bless you and protect you. 25 May the LORD smile on you and be gracious to you. 26 May the LORD show you his favor and give you his peace.’ 

DESIRE

This is the desire of the heart of God.  He would that we be blessed, smiled upon and recipients of His.  He wants to show favor to us and give us His peace.  Serve the Lord with gladness.  God is for us.  Jesus saves us and the Holy Spirit resides in us.  Jesus is Lord.  

05/19          John 6:35-37

35 Jesus replied, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. 36 But you haven’t believed in me even though you have seen me.  37 However, those the Father has given me will come to me, and I will never reject them. 38 For I have come down from heaven to do the will of God who sent me, not to do my own will.

JESUS

Jesus came from God on a mission to save mankind. He would that no one go out into eternity lost.  We come to Jesus by faith, given salvation by faith it is a free gift, and we continue in a faith relationship with him until we stand before Him in eternity.  Jesus is Lord.  Follow Him. 

05/18          Matthew 4:19

19 Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!”

CALLING

Jesus calling two brothers.  It is the call to us.  When Jesus comes into our life His call to us is come follow me.  Follow Jesus and you are following wisdom, mercy, grace and understanding.  Jesus is Lord.  

05/17          John 14:1-3

1 “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me.  2 There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?  3 When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. 

SOON
Soon and very soon the Lord is coming back to take us to live with Him in Heaven.  But, right now we can have His indwelling spirit who will fill us with wisdom, mercy and grace, guiding us in the way we should go and standing with us in every challenge that we face.  The Lord is with us, Always.  

05/16          John 14:16-18

16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. 17 He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you. 18 No, I will not abandon you as orphans—I will come to you. 

HOLY SPIRIT

The Lord’s gift to you is His indwelling Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit resides in every believer and He is seeking to help us serve and grow.  If we will rest in Him, He will do it.  Trust the Lord.  Ask Him to lead, guide and direct you.
