DEC 14 – ROMANS 15:13

12/14          Romans 15:13

13 I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. 

PRAY

We are called to pray for one another.  It is a critical part of our daily walk.  My prayers for you will bring you before the Father and underscore your needs and your prayers.  We need to pray for one another. 

DEC 13 – JAMES 1:17

12/13          James 1:17

17 Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow. 

LIGHT

God is light.  There is no darkness in Him at all.  He is always the same.  Unlike us we can trust His character.  For God so loved the world that He gave us His only son-Jesus.  

DEC 12 – ACTS 20:35

12/12          Acts 20:35

35 And I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard. You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ” 

YES

Yes, it is indeed more blessed to give than receive.  Try it so that you will know it first-hand.  No one can steal what you have given away.  Joy is greater when you experience it by doing as the Father does.  He gives. 

DEC 11 – ROMANS 6:23

12/11 Romans 6:23

23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

SIN

Sin affects every single person ever born.  All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.  We cannot save ourselves.  Jesus is the only way to the Father.  Trust in the Lord Jesus and be saved.  

DEC 10 – 1 JOHN 5:11

12/10 1 John 5:11

11 And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 

FREE

Salvation from God is free but it isn’t cheap.  Jesus paid the price with his life.  He died that we might have life.  Come to Jesus.  

DEC 9 – LUKE 2:13-15

12/9            Luke 2:13-15 

Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of others—the armies of heaven—praising God and saying, 14 “Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.” 15 When the angels had returned to heaven, the shepherds said to each other, “Let’s go to Bethlehem! Let’s see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.” 

REALLY

Really, did this just happen?  The shepherds’ lives were changed forever.  God had appeared and all of heaven was rejoicing.  Jesus is Lord.  Hallelujah. 

DEC 8 – LUKE 2:10-12

12/8            Luke 2:10-12

10 but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. 11 The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! 12 And you will recognize him by this sign: You will find a baby wrapped snugly in strips of cloth, lying in a manger.” 

READY

All of Earth was ready for the Messiah.  No one thought he would arrive like this.  He came just like we do.  Unknown, quietly to a mother and father struggling to take care of him and moving forward with their life.  Life is real.  Jesus is real.  He loves you. 

DEC 7 – JOHN 3:16

12/7            John 3:16

16 “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

LOVEGod is love.  He loves us and is seeking us so that we will be restored to His family.  

DEC 6 – ISAIAH 9:6

12/6            Isaiah 9:6

6 For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 

GOD

God is real. We have seen Him in Jesus.  

DEC 5 – MATTHEW 2:1-2

12/5            Matthew 2:1-2

1 Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the reign of King Herod. About that time some wise men from eastern lands arrived in Jerusalem, asking, 2 “Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw his star as it rose, and we have come to worship him.” 

MAN

Jesus stepped down off of his throne in Glory and came to Earth.  He came so that we could have real life.
